THIS IS WHAT I DO TO CLEAN MY SHOES AND THEY LOOK AMAZING - take equal parts of detergent and baking soda (i took 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon detergent) - take an old toothbrush and mix baking soda and detergent together - get ur convers and clean the front white part (6:34) w the toothbrush u earlier dipped in the mixture(baking soda and detergent) - then clean the side white parts (8:58) - then get a big bowl of a little more hotter than warm water (u could put detergent if u want but i didnt cause then it takes a lot more time cleaning it and if the top part is NOT THAT dirty and can be done w/o detergent i recommend doing that) - get an old cloth(i took a big long tshirt and cut it in two parts) - dip it (one part of the tshirt) in the water and clean the white parts w it to get the mixture (baking soda and detergent)off - then wash the cloth under water and clean the black part 11:14 (or whatever colour ur shoe is) (dipping the cloth in the warm water time to time) - and do this process (the whole shoe white parts(side and front) and the black part) a few times and if the water gets dirty PLS change it. (U also dont need to wash the cloth under water again after that one time) 11:14 if u want u could put ur laces in vinegar and water mixture for 20-30 mins and then in a different bowl of warm water for 20-30 mins u could spray some perfume on the laces if it still smells like vinegar (i DIDNT cause my laces were fine SO its not tried and tested but it would work most probably)
Sometimes bleach can yellow your white fabrics. An old tried and true product to use is Borax found in the laundry detergent isle. It’s amazing stuff. So many different uses. Also a good color retainer to use when you clean fabric is plain old salt. 😁🤓🤓🤓
I use a magic eraser made for cleaning the bathroom (heavy duty) and some dishwashing detergent in warm water. I use a plastic kitchen scrubby for the inside of the shoes. I replace the laces when I can no longer get the black stains out. I find that plastic shoe trees are best to place in the shoes when they are air drying.
To stretch out my toes in my converse I heard that if you wear super thick socks with them and put them under a hair dryer they’ll expand. It worked for me. I know you shouldn’t put them under direct heat but it helped me stretch them out
Just bought some orange converse today the white rubber was kinda dirty i used dish soap and a tooth brush to clean them turned out fine I didn't clean the color part though I think it looks good enough I'm only using them for Halloween so I think it'll set the mood but overall dish soap works quiet well for the white rubber part of the converse
I tried this, doesn't work well unless you put a lot of pressure with something abrasively effective on rubber material. In my instance, using a dense end of a terry cloth towel and putting force into it. A tooth brush, alone, is too light to remove those typical dirty stains.
I have tire scuff marks on the canvas part of my hi tops. They're light pink. 1. Would these ingredients remove tire marks? 2. Will my pink shoes remain pink using this cleaning solution?
i have green converse with a patterned tongue- i followed along with this video and at the end when i rinsed them some of the water that came off was blue??? lmao idk what happened but other than that slightly concerning point this seems to have worked very well, thank you :)
Man, my chucks hardly ever wear maybe 5 times yet are scuffed and stained just from sitting untouched. Also theyve faded without sun🙁 Anyhoo.... Really hope i can bring em back to what they were.🤞

And I’ve always heard to get them wet and wear them till they dry so they mold to your feet. I broke mine in the old fashioned way but idk how they’ll change when I wash them in the washer.
Murphys oil soap and water,a tooth brush and an old towel, scrub the soles and toe with the Murphys oil soap and water, then use the towel to remove the foam and soil. Do not use on the white cloth part ,it dries yellow.,I know this is 5yrs late
Guys, this is a lot easier and faster! 1.get some dish detergent 2.put it on a paper towel 3.scrubba dub dub dem converse up 4.dry them off so that there is no soap 5.boom done that’s it! Peace
If you want to fix the color in the canvas you can use fabric paint or rit. It works… and it doesn’t bleed. I’ve been using fabric markers and dye for years.
I used to wash my Cuck T's by hand, i got the red raspberry (most commented on color i have owned. Get comments daily on my "pink" Chuck's, I have been dubbed the nickname "Raspberry", but all good). I washed these by machine after a few months. I noticed the red canvas would turn black where the laces contacted it (if anyone could let me know if you had similar issues). Even worse, i washed in warm, and it deteriorated the glue in spots around the sidewall, unsticking it from the canvas. Shoes came out clean, a hair faded, but noticeable am going to get another pair. Favorite shoe yet. I have 8 pairs.

Do dip the magic eraser in laundry detergent or soap or anything like that?

What about all black converse? Black rubber, laces, and canvas?
Is this the same for other colors such as all red, white, etc.???

My brother taught me a trick to restore the color on the canvas. Use baby oil. It sounds dangerous but it’s genius

Aerosol glass cleaner works amazingly on canvas and soles
I used toothpaste to clean the rubber part and it worked pretty well.
FOLEX carpet spot remover works very well on dirty white soles. First the best result, spray on the first signs of dirt/smudging, then wipe off.
