Entire load of building should be rested on Pillars, AAC blocks should be used for internal walls, Concrete for outer blocks on ground floor. Use AAC for all walls on upper floors.
Nicely explained. Another disadvantage for using AAC blocks on external walls that are fully exposed to rain is excessive water seepage to the inside surface. Very difficult to completely dry out, and lots of mould will grow there as well as the humidity issuing from the damp spots destroy plaster paint and furnitures that are in close proximity. I’m thinking of putting ceramic wall tiles on the whole of the affected inside walls in my house since waterproofing on the outside surface didn’t seem to work. Any suggestions from you please?
@@jkc5576 yes my outside walls & inside walls are all cement plastered but still problem persists. I think it’s because the building is still new (3 years approx) and it’s still settling down and thus hairline cracks are appearing here and there through which water is creeping in. I’ve applied DrFixit waterproofing material and am waiting to observe the results this monsoon season.
Nature is saved by bricks...but sustainability is not so gd so it is good to use red brick....others blockes has quality issues and age of cement is only 50 years. Red bricks are sustainable for centuries. Use lime instead of cement.
@@radhakrishnas5458 yaa we have to care for our nature and its harm also but if we too much not to used single by nature than we have to sleep into open ground without clothes.
I am a civil engineer with 36 years field experience. AAC blocks are good only if used properly. 1.Dont not use AAC blocks immediately on unloading. Keep at least 1 week in dry shaded area, with plenty of airflow 2. Do only 4 layers a day 3. Use only recommended adhesive, mixed mechanically and thickness of 3mm over blocks 4. Don't not cure with water 5. Provide continuous reinforcement Sill mat at 4rth block level and Continuous rc lintel 6. Do not rest beam of roof on blocks. Leave a gap of 1/2"..and ideally fill with PU foam 7. Have vertical ties for length greater than 6 m ( 20') 8. If possible build walls in top floors first and lower floors last 9. Use glass fibre mesh at all joints between concrete and block when Plastering 10. Always wait at least 2 weeks minimum before Plastering.. which can be cured 11. Groove cutting to be done only with cutter blade. 12. Apply putty ONLY after Plastering is fully cured and dried Follow all of the above and you will have a crack free ECONOMICAL building

Can we use this block to build house in earthquake pron area??
Yes
Ek
Rightly said. Loads makes the buildings dangerous. Reduces life of the structure. Above the 1st floor even row homes should be built in aac blocks.
Kya AAC block ko ground floor per use kar sakte hai? Aur kya inse Seelan ki problem khatam hogi?

Rate of red brick
By using red bricks we exhaust fertile soil. Soil formation takes very long time so it is not advisable to use red bricks.
