Thank you so much bro. I really appreciate your like and response. Please make a video on mechanical work or items that are used in construction like channels, equal plates, couplers etc. And also what are their uses in construction. Thank you. :)
Even after this video being ages old, its still worth watching. Thanks ..keep doing the great work 👌👍 You should have mentioned about the DPC layer and its benefits.
Excellent sir. Currently we are facing same problem on my project we r using aac block for 31 floor high rise building in Ghaziabad. I will apply all these methods for avoiding cracks in future. I would also like share our drgs for block work with you.
@@ramachandrabhatlapenumarti1692 if budget is not issue go with red brick....regardless of whatever you do crack will occurs on aac block after few years so it will be 2-3 years gap rework
I really appreciate ur efforts and in depth knowledge sir, an a young doctor starting to build a G+ 3 construction, I wish my engineers are half as knowledge as you🙄. I enquired about using Flyash / ACC block and M sand fr RCC. They are totally against th idea and according. You are giving a different in depth perspective here, could u please give your opinion in this regard. Thnk u
Thank you for the detailed explanation. Now it's sure that I will never use AAC Blocks. Using these blocks are a mess and traditional red bricks are the best. These blocks should be renamed to ultra complicated blocks.
Just imagine U r having cool sleep on bed and ur split AC is mounted on ur wall (AAC) on header side.... One fine night because of slight vibration after a year of installation the wall mounted Unit will fall on ur head while u r sleeping and from chill to one will become cold forever...😄😄😄
Thanks for this topic, I request you to kindly explain about RICS AND FIDIC RED BOOK, Principle of mesurment, standard method of mesurment, civil engineering standard method of mesurment I am working as a qs in gulf oman, I am following your videos. Good job Thanks
Very nice video sir. Please make a video on use of fly ash bricks as they are good alternative of red clay bricks. They are also green building material. Please tell us about their pros and cons.
I have a doubt on the reason given for cracks near bearing of lintel while using AAC blocks. Normally AAC blocks are used only for non-load bearing structures ie used for RCC framed structures. No load from slab will be transferred to lintel. Consider an RCC lintel of thickness 150mm over an opening of 1.2m with a bearing of 0.3m on either side. Consider height of masonry above lintel as 1m, thickness of AAC wall as 0.15m. If the unit weight of AAC is takes as 5 kN/cum, that of concrete used in lintel as 24 kN/cum, then the reaction at each end of lintel on account of self weight of RCC lintel and masonry = (1.8*0.15*0.15*24 + 1.8*0.15*1*6)/2 = 1296 N. The stress on ACC block will be 1296/(150x300) = 0.03 N/sqmm. This is very small as compared to the strength of AAC block. Why should the AAC block near bearing of lintel crack? The reason for cracks should be something else.
Thank you sir for sharing these details... can i make lofts and kitchen slabs cantilever from these walls which are 60mm thick. Also for door openings how much wall bearing needed for cut lintel.
Since the building is already completed and people are already residing and then only the cracks were observed and we tried to get them repaired but the cracks are persisting and forming at the same place or elsewhere also and now i would like to know the remedial action to be taken for non occurrence of the same if there is any chance and if there is no chance of the same then how to camouflage the cracks with cheap and best solution.

Sir, mai abhi aac block laga raha hun toh ekdam niche Jo 1st layer hai wo sand aur cement ka mixture de rha hun aur jo column aur aac block ka joint hai wahanpe bhi sand mortar use kar rha hun aur jo block-block joint jai wahanpe adhesive use kar rha hun. Kya ye thik hai? Ya phir Jo concrete aur block ka joint hai wahanpe bhi adhesive laga de. Thank you

Dear your last point of Flush is not right, but it's work opposite like, if it is flush than crack can propagate easily, so we don't need flush but we need jointsbat centre so that cracks does not occur

There is not any relation of cracks developing while the density of gypsum and density of block is same, when two things get bond than their elasticity does matter like like modulous of elasticity of rcc ( Concrete and steel)

ACC blocks are no doubt good but one demerit. Unlike 5inch clay bricks it is too thick thus consuming too much space in the room
