    I love that you’re giving the fishes a beautiful tank to live and breed in. They can live a good life. Awesome 🙂

    If I were a fish I would like to rent a tank in your fish room :) All your tanks look amazing like always. I wish I could order from because you have such stunning beautiful fish. I’m the near future I’ll set up a discus/ram tank inspired by your tank. Great video like always 🤩

    Looking good
    I definitely need a few more grow out tanks,
    About time I pulled my finger out and got myself setup with racks.
    My 4 ft grow out is full my 3 foot growout has two younger spawns and now I have 3 tubs of newly hatched lol.
    My main breeders I got from you originally have been great parents, I lost an original lg male but the 3 main ones all spawn in the same tank with the same male 😂 he’s a busy boy.
    Look forward to the new breeding project’s didn’t realise you had a new room somewhere else in the making.
    Keep up the great work

      Hi there Gav! So good to hear that you are doing so well!! It sounds like that male ram is in fishy heaven!!!😂
      Yes, it’s very exciting. There are some nice new projects around the same idea of improving weak lines of fish here in Aus. Hopefully it will be just as successful of a venture as the Black Celestial program was 🤞

    I think that substrate might be Seachem Flourite Red. It is a porous Clay suitable for growing plants. It contains Iron for strong plant growth.

My new rack is almost completed and I’ll be setting my sites on a pair of rams. German blues or the golds I really like those golds as well! But yes the rack is almost done, next step set up all the new tanks cycle them, and then away we go! So good to see you my friend🙂👍🏻

    Hey Justin, I have a few questions so sorry for that. Im starting out with breeding and i have a few questions about sizing and products. (im in Aus also) . How many Litres do you run for a 1 single breeding pair of GBR . Where do you get Silca Sand from. Do you use any RO water. Love the videos keep it up, :)

    • @JustinsFishRoom
      @JustinsFishRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! Never apologise for wanting to learn💪 Keep going and love the initiative.
      I usually run one pair in 70 litres or a 2 ft aquarium.
      I get my silica from Bunnings - it’s the play sand they have for 5 bucks🙂
      I don’t use any RO water, just tap👍
      Don’t hesitate to ask further questions - that’s why I am here 🙂

    Hi Justin ! I was wondering, what are the celestials? What are their differences with the other morphs?

    • @JustinsFishRoom
      @JustinsFishRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Celestials are an all black fish with turquoise speckling. This is a recessive gene and comes from GBR and dark ram lines. The celestials can be inherently more aggressive than other types of rams but not necessarily always the case.

    Did the floods do this to tap water. Maybe that's what happened. Water has probably been treated because of flooding

    • @JustinsFishRoom
      @JustinsFishRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently, yes. It decreased the pH and that actually caused a spike in minerals in the water. I am unsure of what actually happened but that is the best explanation I have heard so far.
