Shake Your Money Maker was unlike anything in 1990. If it wasn't hair metal, it was pop like Michael Jackson, Madonna or C+C Music Factory, so it was amazing that people caught on. I've always loved Chris Robinson, cut from the same cloth of the great rock frontman. Listening to him makes me miss what music is currently lacking, danger, defiance, recklessness, sleaze, swagger, etc.
I thought these guys were simply the best from the start. They are my most favorite of all. Loved the music then and even more now. Never get tired of it. Thanks guys for years of awesome music. Keep going
Wow looking back, I can see why I was so drawn to the band. Cocky and Cool. I guess they pretty much did what they set out to accomplish. Hopefully some day soon, we will get just one more taste of the brothers genius. 🤘
Thank you so much for this gem! 🙌 any chances for you to upload some interview from the 'southern harmony' era? maybe that one they did in Japan (from which excerpts are shown in the "Who killed that bird" doc)
All videos from Japanese TV will sadly get me a copyright strike.. or get blocked fast.. They all have been posted before.. that’s why I know.. I’m sorry but you will have to do without.
Back in those days Chris derided corp sponsorship and claimed it was about the music rather than money. A few years later they wanted to put Steve Gorman on salary so Chris could get more money
Funny interview. Chris makes it sound like they have been living in NYC for years. I know that wasn’t true. They only became the BC in like late 88 to 89. Spring of 88 they lived in GA and played high school graduation parties as Mr. Crow’s Garden. But Chris was born a showman. Rich is a talented writer. So young. He was 20 I think here. Thanks for this flashback!!
Johnny Colt and Jeff Cease look a little worse for wear. Both Chris and rich seem to be a little high but having fun, I think this interview is the most I've ever heard Rich Robinson speak about what they do. Love the impromptu version of Shake Your Money Maker !!
Rich loves his brother and probably likes him too, but siblings sometimes have a love-hate relationship. And it looks like the Robinsons Brothers have or had that type of relationship.
They have always reminded me of the stones...Chris acts like jagger. I lost interest in them as I grew older. Chris keeps touching his hair like a woman does...lol..puff. not my favourite band.

Let alone rock rap like Anthrax, period!

Definitely a magic band for people...and still rockin' today! Love'm!
A magic band for people. Mission accomplished!
Love you guys❣️
I have tickets to see them October 28th .... can't wait.

I Wish that today rock groups could be more like The Black Crowes!
Could he get a word in ? Hay Rich you awake ? Love u guys ❤✌😀
TBC were the most rock ‘n’ roll rock ‘n’ band ever; the glory of youth and untamed. 🎼🎶

@@AmoricaWombofthefree no worries! I 100% understand. I'm still in hopes for the HD version of the 93 pinkpop though (a girl can dream... lol)
@@AmoricaWombofthefree wow how ridiculous and pathetic SAD
That's what older siblings do LOL !! 😃✌❤
Oh my rich😅😴🤣❤️🎸❤️
Shake Your Money Maker the song should of been on the Black Crowes album Shake Your Money Maker as the title cut in 1990😊❤😅
2:10 a shot at EVH ?
Yup
Rich had a lot to say in this interview!
He said all just by being..
Rich prefers to let the music do the talking.
So innocent... it speaks! My young brother. (Haha)
Before he blew his voice it was gold. I'll take chris in the 90's and rich at anytime. Marc ford was their mick taylor years. 👍
Have you heard chris recently sounds great for a 55 year old
@@harrytrent13 yeah he really does

It’s enough already, who gives a f**k
What's the earliest known footage of these guys?
Spinal Tap references at 13:24 & 18:03 🤣🤣🤣

Rich didn't even like his own brother. And Chris looks like was on a coke diet.
Nah he looks pretty healthy here he's was just a young skinny kid he's tall.

@@bobop8170 I agree with you after all he was only about 20 years old. You don't look the same at 20 as you do in later life
Be cooler if they just filmed 20 minutes of them playing. Just saying
Why does Chris continually grab his hair? Drugs?
Who knows🤷♀️
It’s what Keith Richards and Rod Stewart used to do...he is imitating his heroes.
ADHD. I think he was just a young ball of energy.
They have always reminded me of the stones...Chris acts like jagger. I lost interest in them as I grew older. Chris keeps touching his hair like a woman does...lol..puff. not my favourite band.
And one day.......Jimmy Page will ask to join our band.
And Rich will say, "No thanks, we have enough songs " 🤣
american oasis
I always thought they were more of a rock and roll Carpenters.
It's a good thing Chris could never stop talking because Rich never wanted to.
