    I've got a tip that could be helpful: Have the script on hand when filming. Especially if a particular set has a number of scenes. And double check both your script and footage to make sure you have filmed absolutely everything on that set before you take it down and build the next one. If you use model trains like me, this is highly recommended so that you don't end up needing to rebuild an entire set just for one scene you forgot to film.

      that's what i do. if i have a script that requires multiple scenes filmed in the same location, i'll film every scene that is needed on that set and then i'll build the next one

    • @ScrapyardStudios
      @ScrapyardStudios  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s the most convenient tbf. 9 times out of 10, I film everything in order but there’s the odd occasion where I’d either forget to film a scene on a set, or just wing it on that set ready to fire so ti speak

    A Tip i came up With: *No Reference, No Problem:*
    If you can't find Anything To base a model, Go Crazy, Use your imagination , because the Skies The Limit, do it yourself.

  • @jonathanthebigredengine
    @jonathanthebigredengine ปีที่แล้ว +3

    And Here's another Tip: *Combine Reference with Imagination:* If you can't Decide Between Reference Or Imagination, Combine the two Into something New and Unique, Anything is Possible With your Mind.
    *i got fucken lazy and didn't wanna edit my comment so i made this Tip separate*

    Do you have any tips for like fog machines with the intention of making it out to be smoke for an industrial scene?

    • @ScrapyardStudios
      @ScrapyardStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Unfortunately not, but a technique Rob (WRR) had years ago was to put a t shirt over the nozzle, so as to make the smoke settle.

  • @TheEerieMaster

    My method for custom making (it's probably not a good technique for everyone) is get an idea and start working as I go with the model... I usually never have a plan as following instructions/plans is not how I like doing things🤣
    I have only ever drawn out something once, as it will require different techniques and materials I've never tried before 💀

    This is very helpful! You are amazing at what you do. It takes a lot of craft and skill to make stuff as good as yours!
    Also, I was wondering, would it be alright if I used that music video you made titled "Big Blue Gordon" in a project of mine. I'll credit you for the original. If you would prefer that I don't use the original audio, I could also just use the lyrics you wrote if that would be alright (again with proper credit). It's completely fine if you don't want me to, it just seemed it would be a nice touch for the video, and I saw no harm in asking permission. Thanks!

      Glad this video helped & of course you can use my audio, with credit of course. In fact, I’ve since made a remastered version with different lyrics if you wish to use that instead. See which version you prefer. on.soundcloud.com/SFSemgbc81hKCn628

      so I’ve just listen to the remastered one, it is really good! Although i think I’ll use the original one as it’s all in the time period of my project. Once I make a lil more progress on it, I’ll reply to you here to give you an insight on it. Thanks again for letting me use the music video!!!!
