After one year of work, the first expansion of the NWR is completed, opening as the first new section following the railways opening in 1915. Thomas is assigned to work the new section, to which he does a fine job. However, it is not long, before he starts to struggle with the owerwhelming amount of work. So, Topham sets in motion to aid Thomas. Not just with more motive power, but also with more company

I personally just suddenly realized that this official video of Between the Arrivals titled Branching Out certainly DOES make such an amazingly good introduction to both of Thomas the Tank Engine's own official pair of passenger coaches who certainly happen to be very shockingly surprisingly known as Annie & Clarabel who actually have an official emergency cable fixed inside for passengers to use to alert the guard in the events of a genuine emergency!!!!

You know, it's basically quite clear that this official short episode of Between the Arrivals with Thomas the Tank Engine himself starting work on his own official Branch Line that runs from Knapford Station to Farquhar Quarry titled Branching Out features Annie & Clarabel who actually apparently do basically become Thomas the Tank Engine's own official pair of coaches!
