Sincerely, does this compressor makes hum like the Soul Preacher of Electro harmonix? I felt regret about the E.H. , i have single coils pick ups, and somebody told me that there is nothing to do for the hum, unless i replace with humbuckers. Please, what's your opinion about this Jhs? Thank you so much. Regards , Patrick from Italy

There's always going to be some hum with single coils when you run a compressor. You can go with an optical compressor and it will be less noisy, but it's gonna still be there, unless you have some sort of gate. This is kind of why there's a market for noiseless single coils. Incidentally, the hum isn't noticeable while you're playing. It's when you stop playing that it's noticeable. You can work around that by riding the volume knob on your guitar or with a volume pedal. That's how people usually get along with compressors, if they use a strat or tele.

@@solomonsanchez1897 Thank you so much, Solomon, at the end i got rid of the E.H. , and bought the Keeley, it has some noise like many others, but at least with more knobs it is easier to keep it under control. Regards to you, Patrick from Italy 👋🇮🇹

Compressors don't "have" or "make" hum. They just amplify your pre-existing hum.

Not true. The EH even makes Bass noisy. It’s quite loud and obnoxious.

I'm watching your video in 4K but everytime it switched to your pedals the video turns to 144p ... lol

Your tone sounds super tinny..is that just preference? Genuinely curious

Just sounds like a strat to me. Bright switch maybe sounds a little too bright, but in a mix this would be a nice sound overall. Context of a mix is important.

Too bright for me even with the bright switch in the down position.
