Haha, I heard a weird noise I'd never heard before at 3 am while letting my dog out. He immediately ran to the edge of the yard and barked up a storm, and I heard the animal. Thanks to your video, I now know without a doubt that it was a hedgehog!
This helps a lot! I have been hearing something creepy the last few nights, so I listened to this to see if I could recognize it. Sure enough! It is a fox! Man! That sound gives me the creeps! I thought for sure it was a coyote 😂
Smoked a joint outside at night, heard a noise a few times. Thought it was coming from inside. Then a really loud noise came from a-crossed the yard. Put the joint out instantly and ran inside, locked the doors and now i’m at this video. Still don’t know what it was😭
I heard what sounded like a toad or a baby crying in the woods of Washington State...trying to make sure iy wasnt a baby dur to the closest neighbor lives not that far and yes they have a baby
I'm surprised by all of the night sounds that I've never heard before in the many years that I've lived here! Now I hear them at least once a month! Mostly foxes and sometimes racoons, but there was one Screech Owl that came almost every night for a few weeks, and then just stopped coming. I just heard one again a few days ago for the first time in months. The Great Horned Owl which I had never heard before started coming every now and then one year a few years ago, and I haven't heard one since.
Number 4 is so spooky, but it's what I've been hearing outside of my house at night. I already kind of thought it was a fox but I wasn't sure. I did see a fox in my yard a few years ago.
Red foxes are amazing. I always thought it would be a cougar that would make a sound like that. It's surprising to discover that such a sound actually comes from a much smaller animal. What lungs they have!
I've been watching the Pride & Prejudice TV series and Foyle's War. In both I've been hearing some spooky animal noise. A search has brought me here to find out it is just a red fox. No wonder our ancestors were superstitious hearing that at night.
Got something right outside that sounds like a very loud, raspy old cat yeling. It's odd to me, because we're in the middle of a very heavy hail/rainstorm, in town, and it's been going on for over two hours. May just be a toad, but I'm not going out there to find out.
Hope you don't have any chickens or other birds outside! They will kill them in a flash. Can even rip apart wire or chew loose a board to get into a coop! I've seen it happen, and it's heartbreaking to hold your favorite little hen as she is dying, knowing you can't save her.
I was camping in the woods and my wife and I both heard a sound. It was a series of 3 times. We both thought we were crazy the first time, the second time we looked at each other and the 3rd time we looked back at the source. It sounded like a tuning fork, a resonating sound that lasted about 4 seconds each time. We checked aerial footage of the area and there is no power lines, dams, basically nothing for about 6 square miles. Any ideas? It sounded man made. It wasn’t very loud but definitely enough to notice. Did not echo at all.
I don't know what I heard it was like a sonar sound but it sounded like breathing so I'm stumped and to top it off it all sounded the same across the board no difference in sound or pitch
am not gonna be able to comment beacuse i have to go of my laptop and my phone broke so cant coment on there and i cant sighn in on youtube on my tablet sorry
The first sounds like one of our chickens when she’s (can you even say “she” anymore?) laying. I would have guessed some sort of bird. I am not good at this!
im trying to find what i heard last night lol
I just came to this video for the same reason hahahaa. I heard an animal sound on my back yard that I've never heard before .

The very first animal was an African Pygmy Hedgehog...
Like if you’re here because you heard a weird sound outside your house and you want to know what it was?
Help it was trilling
Been trying to find out what I’ve been hearing for ages 😅
Hearing these sounds, while camping would mean,I chose a dangerous location to camp.

I keep hearing a high pitched “waa” every night at around midnight every 8 or so seconds and i have no idea if its a bird or something else
fox?
Did you ever find out? I think I may be hearing the same thing, only every 5 - 10 minutes.
Number 4 is so spooky, but it's what I've been hearing outside of my house at night. I already kind of thought it was a fox but I wasn't sure. I did see a fox in my yard a few years ago.
First one is definitely the Amazon van reversing 😄

For real I thought something was dieing out there
Birds like blue jays are too, only 3 oz in weight but you can hear them several houses away when they are making alarm calls.
So I heard this sound (in the San Bernardino National Forest, As I answered, it came closer. I can run into the house!

Well now I know to look out if I hear that last sound. Is it just me, or do all of these night animals sound terrifying or creepy?
It’s NOT just you!
The red fox should NOT sound like that!!

Sorry, but I can't help with that one.
How are the dogs don't seem upset Thomas I don't think I would be. Sounds like you separated the mom and her calf
