I know it's been 4 years, but great job! I love the table. I am working on getting to this as well, also playing solo. I also like the little details in the buildings, like Our Lady's Immaculate Heart on the wall of the one in the second shot of the Sherman tank rolling through. Great stuff!!!

When it came to activating your Sherman for a run order, as a tracked vehicle it has a speed of 9" for an advance and 18" for a run, so you could have potentially moved 36" initially. Also, Snipers in game have a base 'to hit' value of a +2 when firing as a sniper, so that three to hit should have in fact hit (after factoring the range penalty). In addition, the light machine guns of your infantry unit activated from ambush have a range of 30", not 36". Also, if you don't mind my asking but who makes your Luftwaffe Dice? Those are rather spiffy!
Yes I had a few nice individuals who kindly PMed me bringing up those...and ahem...some other :( mistakes...I'll try to add some annotations to correct them. The dice are Battlefront's Flames of War Fallschirmjäger dice. And I believe that is a most excellent description of them
LoL...doesn't sound too Welsh to me ;) Well it was seeing battle reports like this that originally got me into gaming so maybe you might need to subtly introduce a pal to play. In comparison to some gaming hobbies Bolt Action isn't too expensive to get into. And there isn't any need to go crazy with terrain initially. I remember when I was a younger man I introduced half of my football pals into gaming and I was shocked that everyone of them (bar one) got really into it...so you never know :)
Thanks Kevin :) The grass is a drop cloth covered with caulking and various flock and static grass. The pathways and roads are defined with different coloured sand. The trees are just bought in railway hobby shops, the hedgerows I made myself. The buildings are bought but painted and decorated by painting some Vichy French posters I printed and glued on. Sorry to say the Lions are stuck in a relegation dogfight this season, but in the last few weeks we've picked up on results and picked up some points so hopefully we'll get out off it. Away to Leeds United tomorrow

I lived in Canada (ONT) for a while and found it breathtakingly beautiful.... if not a little cold in the winter :)Your videos are the thing which got me into Bolt Action. They are (without a shadow of doubt) THE best videos on this game out there. Your terrain is staggeringly excellent and awe inspiring, and total inspiring, making me want to play the game every time I watch this series (PLEASE do more). The miniatures are sublime and your narrative is extremely atmospheric. Thank you for taking the time to share your talents. you sure have been responsible for my wife and myself getting so deeply into this game (normal interests are Warlord Games Zulus and American War of Independence... and a bit of FIW "The Last of the Mohicans" too).
+BIZKIT Extremely different games. The reason I posted AAR's of both is that people could make up their own minds in want might suit their own preferences because what I've found in life is equally evident in wargaming: people have vastly different ideas and opinions ;) Personally I enjoy both. I think I enjoy BA if I'm playing someone else. Crossfire playing solo

I have 4 games still to write up, 3 of them 20mm WW2. Too busy with other things to get around to gaming, let alone writing stuff up!
