No doubt that's what a lot of people who have been to a BTS concert say about it. The way the army participates in the songs. the fan chants. I have not yet been able to attend one of their concerts. I live in Montrose Co down here in the valley with mountain peaks all around us. Not really financial able to travel long distances and then stay in the hotel and then pay for the tickets. I have thought about starting to save up money somehow getting a job again since I am retired. I could use extra money to do some other things too like car maintenance save money up so I could go to hopefully they will be performing in Oregon or Washington state California would enough money I could go to the concert then go visit relatives that live in those states but they would never have a concert in Humboldt County Colorado it's the wrong end of the state the cities there concerts RN's are a lot bigger than Eureka CA. I really would like to have the money saved up 42025 that's going to be a fantastically huge unimportant new album release comeback and probably their biggest world tour ever.

@@heyrobwest3908I would have to travel as well, so I have already started saving money. I think about it when I am tempted to spend on a trinket or things like ordering a cocktail drink which add no real benefit to my life and put the money aside towards my goal, so it’s win-win. Getting an actual ticket is another story though😅 I hope we can both get the opportunity. 💜

I am 41 and I saw them in Vegas(day 2)as well. I completely agree with you that their concerts have been the best ones I've been to and how it's very interactive(been to 3 total). But I must say I was a bit disappointed in the ARMY that day. Seemed like most of them didn't know the fanchants to the songs. They were only really able to sing along to their english songs. It's just so much more fun when everyone is in on it. Nonetheless, it was still very fun and the guys are always on point. And it was so special to bring all three of my daughters to see them.

Wembley Stadium is in London. They are the fastest to sell out this legendary stadium, just under 90 minutes! They are the 12th artist to sell out Wembley, alongside Beyonce, Madonna, Queen, Michael Jackson etc. What's amazing about Army singing Young Forever is that a lot of them are international ARMYs, and singing a Korean song to BTS is just so heartwarming. 💜

Jin didn’t know how to sing or dance prior to being a trainee. He was going to school for acting. He had to learn to sing and dance while a trainee so he could debut. BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025!

I don't think they have the so-called "friendly competition". I think what they have is a sense of responsibility to the group where they always try harder to be better so they won't be an embarrassment to the group. It's more on "for the group" and not "for themselves". Not that they are an embarrassment. They never were. Some members always feel that they lack something even when they are good enough. They always try to improve themselves for BTS. Now, they are going solo just so they can explore better and improve themselves in their solo projects so that when they come back soon in 2025 as BTS, as seven, they can become better "for the group". That is one of the reasons of their success. Second is their humility and last but definitely not the least, is their love for the ARMY.
They have to enlist in the military for 18 months and two members are already doing their military service. Other members will follow probably within this year. They are said to reunite as seven in 2025.

Joonie (Namjoon) really only "jokes" about learning English through watching "Friends". While it did help him learn - having that "base" knowledge, and learning a lot of the slang and things that aren't normally taught in English classes, he went to New Zealand to study English for 6 months when he was just 12 years old. He mentions it, very briefly, when they went to New Zealand as a group for their show "Bon Voyage".
Edited to add a side note here: If you combine everything - group, solo, collabs, units, covers, pre-debut songs, even commercials, etc. - they have almost (or just over) 1,000 songs total. Note that they have almost full-on songs for many of their commercials. They don't usually record just the 5 or 10 second clips used in the commercials, they commonly do 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 minute..."mini-songs"?...I guess would be the best description of them.

One of my daughters had already seen them live once but my other daughter hadn't so we wanted to catch up! I'm decades older than you & been to many concerts. BTS was by far the best one. The show was amazing but also loved the crowd. Just a great vibe. Even at the airports you could pick out the BTS fans & every seat around us on our plane coming back was "Army". It was a crazy good time! And to answer your Q on where is Wembley. It's the biggest stadium in London where the English National Football (aka soccer) team plays. 57 yr old Army here. Watched these guys grown from teenagers into some of the most humble talented gifted artist and young men the world has to offer💜 The vlives are so much fun.. RM just comes and hangs out with us
Yoongi comes and usually gives us such uplifting words J-Hope usually dances for us Jin cooks and eats with us
JK takes song requests and gives us a mini show
V does so many different things
Jimin builds arts n crafts with us
RM is a lyrical genius, especially the way he uses wordplay even between languages, composers using different beats flows rhythms.. He's also the only one who does not have a driver's license
Yoongi is my bias and I love how he's so savage.. He seems like a very cold and distant person but he's very caring and loving
J-Hope is a phenomenal dancer and just recently headlined at Lollapalooza.. Hobi is the sunshine of the group
Jin was cast on the street getting off the bus that's true, it has happened twice to him... He did not sing or dance at all before he became a trainee..
Jungkook was only 13/14 when he joined as a trainee, he loves his brothers and Army so very much, loves to take risks, he's pitch perfect and talented in so many things. He's called the "golden maknae"because he's just good at everything he does🤷
V was hidden because the company feared he would be approached by other companies because of his striking good looks.V's voice is like a river of melted chocolate and his vocal range is amazing. He loves jazz and he feels like an old soul to me. He's very funny and spontaneous.
Jimin is pure perfection when he dances, the feelings and emotions he's able to protray is amazing. He also had the shortest time as a trainee, around 7 months only.

The subjects they deal with are still very hushed up discussions in South Korea, the pressure put on kids and young adults is immense, the suicide rates of children between 10 to 19 are the highest in the whole world. BTS always use their music to put the finger on problems in Korean songs, be it the lack of mental health discussion and help, the societal pressure on kids, social injustice, political BS - they tackle it, sometimes more openly and sometimes through metaphor. They always leant out of the window for things they feel partial about and they could have tanked their career a lot of times because of that. (N.O. - academic pressure; Am I Wrong? - political issues in SK; Spine Breaker - parents getting ill and into brankruptcy for their children; Spring Day - abt the students of the Sewol disaster and many more). They always tread a fine line between being an idol band with poppy sound and a band that was almost blacklisted. Their English speaking songs are just pure pop, but their Korean songs ... these are statements, all of them.
I was at Wembley (UK btw) and it was phenomenal, second day I could not get any tickets so we listened to the concert outside with other ARMY from all over Europe. It is an experience of a life time. Since then I saw them 'live' during the pandemic via online or cinema performances. Every time it was fantastic!!!

54 yr old Army 4+ years tween to their concerts in Chicago, was at the concert that the boys always remember as their favorite surprisingly, would think it would be wembley, I assume it’s because they love Chicago & because our concert 5/12/18 it rained the entire concert & was cold, there were puddles on the stage, we were all were raincoats or ponchos, yet the boys still went wild, JK said he was really out of his mind that concert, it’s the best concert I’ve ever been to, Tae danced in a puddle and sang a chorus of singing in the rain and Hobi said “ I’m not afraid of the rain anymore, because Army, you are my umbrella then we all sang with him, your my umbrella ella ella ella eh eh eh, eh eh Rm then went on to tell us again how if he ever moved out of S Korea, Chicago is where he wants to live, and that was also the night BTS became legends, according to RM, because they were blessed by the gods of rain, unfortunately JK was unable to fly around the stadium for his song euphoria like he did in the other shows, but they did play a impromptu game of touch football in the beginning, just one snap, but still they played around a lot with us.
BTS always say they are family, they’ve spent more time together than their own families, and they think of Army more like family/friends or like a partnership more so than just fans, they told us during a live that they would always protect us like we always protect them.
RunBTS in the Soop & bon voyage series as well as their live broadcast are on their own media platform called Weverse which is for all fans around the world, it’s not just broadcast in Korea. You have never and will never find a group who love their fans more than BTS in America, JK will go live just because he misses us, he will then sing noraebang for 2-4 hrs, or play music & talk with us, he works out & he even has fallen asleep while millions of us just sat watching the screen, company had to force a shutdown at like 3 or 4am which he is notorious for going live in the wee hrs of the morn, then you have Tae who goes live for 5-10 mins cuz he misses us, he will eat dinner or has worked out, or just played music, then says goodnight and turns it off, JK’s good byes are longer than one of Tae’s lives, it’s so funny, but all the boys will just turn on the live to chat with us, let us know what they’ve been doing, just wanting to spend a little time with us, Jimin does puzzles, like the Lego ones while talking to Army . They spoil us😂💜💜💜

1:30 As of this year, theyve won over 980+ awards combined as a group/solely that continue break records and make history etc.
2:41 Yes, they became the first male group and k-pop artists in history to perform PERMISSION TO DANCE at the UN Assembly after making their speech.
3:34 Its true BTS did start out as young talent but well-known by the locals in their hometowns but many tend to get confused when seeing this specific scene which is from their episode 8 finale of mini-series #BTSAmericanHustleLife that was filmed in los Angeles (2014). It was part of one of their missions of learning how to ‘self-promote’ by standing on the sidewalk trying to randomly invite people to their mini concert as well as learned from a few western artists under the supervision of coolio and warren g throughout the episodes before they performed at the end of the show with their debut songs “no more dream” and “we are bulletproof pt2” along with an ending encore to show what they’ve learned during the final episode.

they are brothers and there is zero jealousy between then they feel proud when another member do good. right now they all are embarking of their solo journey before going to the military. all 7 members has released a solo song or an album so far, each broke their own records you see in this video.
two of the members got a hot 100 nr 1 and the youngest member is still charting nr 1 on sportify chart after 7 weeks.
they are just as amazing as solo artists as they are individually. and what i love most about them is that they make music with their heart.
and not to break a record or something they do it to challenge themself, they constantly want to do better than before and they are perfectionists. they each have their own unique ability.

hey what you will come around alot in future kpop reactions, whether it's actual videos from the artists or in guides, is korean terminology. for example the word 'hyung', that was said alot in this guide, means 'older brother' in korean. or 'sunbaenim' means senior. I wanted to say this just in case, because most of the time, people who make these guides or translate what the artists are saying, don't clear up what these words mean, which leads to confusion in people who don't know the language or the culture.

It makes their success in the West that much more amazing.
Before BTS, the Big Three companies had given up on trying to break into the west's music market after bigger names like Psy and Wonder Girls weren't given any serious consideration for longevity here. (Though they are both super talented acts with a different sort of focus.)
In 2017, after four long years of grinding and grass roots support, BTS got their first American Music Award as top social artist (despite much heckling and put-downs back home for ever believing a bunch of small-company nobodies could ever win in America....).
After that -- all hell broke loose in the kpop industry to replicate their success.
Suddenly, everyone is opening or revamping their social media accounts (like TH-cam and Twitter).
The Big Three companies are suddenly creating groups with writers and producers as members (before BTS, it was unheard of for kpop groups to write their own stuff, and this was a big part of their appeal for many fans).
They are suddenly applying for awards at American shows.
And trying to get on the late night talk shows that BTS were on.
And using BTS discography themes as trendy concepts.
And creating story lines for their albums (another group had tried something similar before, but it was a bit out there and BTS did a phenomenal job on theirs, showing how to do it right).
And having their acts create online videos and behind-the-scenes videos and lives with fans and basically every single thing BTS did right, they tried to mimic. Recently a member of another group jokingly blamed SUGA (during SUGA's talk show) for being the reason all the new kpop acts have to work so darn hard now.
Despite the kpop industry keeping BTS down and essentially closing off the way to the West, BTS kicked the doors open and paved the way for every Korean act hitting it big in the West today.
Their personal freedoms and bravery to sing about taboo subjects have empowered other acts to speak out about abuses in the industry and to put out the messages they wanted to say.
They have truly lifted all ships.

just clear it out that "I Purple U" comes from a term "I Love U" and "Borahae" is from a term "Saranghae" which I love u in korean, bora is korean term for purple. the term "purple" itself has meaning to love and trust till the last like the color purple in rainbow which is the last color so it kind of has deeper meaning than the word "love" itself
ps. V was making up this meaning himself while watching the purple ocean (the color of the light that came from the fans lightstick in one of their concert) and now it became a thing in the world, for BTS specially

BTS are just different. BTS is not your typical group, they’re a movement. No other girl group or boy group will ever come close to what they’ve achieved, no matter how much people try to disregard their success.
BTS actually cares about their fans, they’ve gifted so many things, and other than happiness, hope and positivity, they’ve gifted fans so many things for free, songs, livestreams, they give fans food and beverages when they’re waiting for them to perform. No other artist can compare, they give so much to ARMY that they’re on “hiatus” and they’re still releasing content, including on their anniversary, reassuring us time and time again that this is not over. ARMY appreciates and loves BTS, that’s the reason we are protective and we don’t want no one to use BTS, we don’t like it when people selfishly and maliciously benefit from BTS. They are good people.
All I can say is, prepare yourselves for 2025, BTS is coming back full force and nothing will stop ARMY from making that comeback as successful as it can be.

You'll be flooded by tones of k-pop group reaction request and their fandoms will try to portray them as good as BTS which you'll clearly see they aren't, no hate to the artist but k-pop is what it is all bcz of bts and all are just walking on bts's steps. BTS paved the way and their talent is the reason you'll see why, there's no other thing like next BTS and army (which everyone in the industry/other fandoms tryna create by other k-pop groups)
And BTS is not just k-pop they are beyond that
That's the reason MOSTLY armys are only bts poppers and aren't in k-pop or are kpopers
Hope you'll react to their music more and stay true to it.

Others are recommending MMA, MAMA, so I'd like to recommend another song.
I think it's going to be copyrighted, but I'd like to introduce their one live performance that shows that BTS is an artist living in reality.
    BTS - Am I Wrong
    th-cam.com/video/LxwMHqU2IlU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ebshiZgzaRjraEGK
Am I Wrong's lyrics are quite political and socially critical.
The lyrics of the song directly quoted a Korean politician as saying, "The people are dogs and pigs." (That means, the people are ignorant, so we need to throw some food at them and just keep them alive.).
    Here are the lyrics. :)
BTS (방탄소년단) - Am I Wrong (Color Coded Lyrics)
    th-cam.com/video/pV6jpkbWHj0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IfFXW9AwG1P-h5ra
When BTS released this song (2016), Park Geun-Hye, the former president of South Korea, was the daughter of a dictator, and she also attempted dictatorship through media control.
BTS staged this performance a day after a media outlet revealed that the Park Geun-Hye government had blacklisted and penalized artists who criticized the government and did not listen to them.
And it also aired hours before the first candlelight vigil to impeach the Park Geun-Hye government.
Not only Am I Wrong, but because BTS released many songs criticizing Korean society(ex. Silver Spoon, Dope, Spine Breaker, etc...), many ARMYs and even other fandoms were worried that they would be blacklisted.
Since this was before BTS became a global star, the act could have been very dangerous for them. Nevertheless, they did this at the risk of being blacklisted.

The thing that got them about the fans surprising them at Wembley (stadium in London, capacity of 90,000) is because the staff organized it without saying a thing, putting romanized lyrics to the song Young Forever on a large screen for the largely English-speaking crowd to read. This allowed them to sing in Korean to the boys, crossing the language barrier in a beautiful way. This isn't the first fan surprise. Before our lightsticks could change colors, we put small colored bags over the bulb at the top to change the color. We used it to make a rainbow ocean and a purple ocean.

Lady, what's with that face when you said, Jin pretended to be unable to sing? Why would he?
Jin had been trained as an Actor in Uni when they signed him!
He did NOT pretend to be unable to sing.
His Vocal Coach pre-debut, Ms. Kim Sung Eun, said, he not only improved but transformed his voice from acting vocalization to singing one.
Now, THAT speaks of effort & dedication to his craft!

1:14 Known as somewhat most update since #sugarandspice, #xceleste and #IdaS guides from several years ago, there’s still some missing info you can obtain through those other guides in your free-time. Even though most ARMY sees them as seven rappers, vocalists, dancers, composers and producers - some continue to hold onto certain info when it comes to the roles. *BTS is a multi-rounded group b/c each member has several different roles, talent and skill set.*
    4 RAPPERS
    RM - main, leader
    SUGA - main
    JHOPE - lead rapper
JUNGKOOK - sub rapper (he started out rapping early years)
    5 VOCALISTS
    JUNGKOOK - main
    JIMIN - lead
    V - vocalist
    JIN - vocalist
JHOPE - sub vocalist (contributes to some songs but not officially pt of line)
    4 DANCERS
    JHOPE - main
    JIMIN - main
    JUNGKOOK - lead
    V - lead
