Nearly everything you sell has a trademark. The eBay vero policy is stupid.
Thank you for this. OMG, I have a couple of item that have Velcro tabs and I couldn’t remember how to describe the closure in the description, 🙏🏾 I didn’t remember and just said “tab” closure 🤦🏾♀️🙏🏾🥴.

Got my first one for a "copyrighted picture". First phone call, no joy. Will try again in a couple of days.
You can cover up logo's and reword the listing. Instead of using the word Nike, you could say popular tick trainers in the listing. What Chinese seller's do is pixelate the logo, to get past the vero ebay bullshit.
Fossil watches are also a VERO. I have a genuine fossil watch that my finace purchased a watch from the fossil store. Although never wore it. So I have to list it on other platforms for sale and not eBay.
Oh yeah, Jason, another thing to avoid VERO violations on eBay is don't put the word "Fake Velcro" as well.

Question for you. I bought some Keen sandals. Once I got them home I realized that the size tag was square and Keen has a round tag so I suspected they weren't real. Can I still sell them as unbranded. Just "Mens hiking sandals"?
I got a VERO awhile back on some fake lego Star Wars mini figs. I didn't even use the word Lego anywhere in the title or description. I did put "compatible with popular building bricks". They were removed almost immediately. Ended up selling them on FBMP.

By enforcing the vero policy, ebay is cracking down on fake items.

Excellent video! I'm living in the Far East and have a VeRO claim against me. The originator is a competitor pretending to have intellectual property rights over a given product. I need to speak to someone in the US about this, but the eBay website keeps diverting me to Hong Kong. I get the feeling that the people in Hong Kong don't have the authority to move on this. Can you give me a contact phone number to call eBay customer service in the US so that I can get some action on my VeRO dispute? Thanks.
Screen shots of products (photos) or copy and pasted descriptions or specs. from a companies website can get you a VeRO violation...

You can be sure that the USMC did not issue a VERO against you. It was GRUNT Apparel who issued the complaint.
They have been going after resellers who sell their products - usually t-shirts.
Yeah one of the first things I heard is to never sell Grunt. I find tons of it where I source. You should be able to be protected by the second sale principal for selling used, but new or used, I don't want to risk it.
I just got a VERO from LVMH Fashion Group but the perfume I listed is a Arabic perfume, made in the UAE and has a similar but clearly different name then whatever they sell. I am emailing the provided contact to have it reinstated. I also looked, and could not find LVMH Fashion Group on the vero list. Might just be me, so I will keep looking to see if it is maybe under a different spelling or name.

I called and the representative told me to re-post it just change some key words. The email from ebay though specifically said not to do that. Other Arabic perfume sellers said it would surely get me a 5 day suspension. I deleted the listing and will just avoid posting that fragrance in the future. : (@@jasonmhayes
Jason, can't find the video that you say if item on Ebay is old that you End the listing then do you " Relist" or "Sell Similar" I have many old things that haven't moved. Appreciate your help. Listen to you all the time.

I have been hit with 2 of these counterfeit claims in the past 2 months I have not tried to contact ebay yet, but after watching this video I will. My products were bought from amazon, neither one of the companies are on the ebay vero list, I have never had a problem with this and I feel like it is either another seller or a buyer that has made these claims. I know ebay will not tell me who actually reported this, but I think at the very least if it is not an email from the email address they are telling me to contact, and it is a just phone call it should be ignored. Just Curious Jason do you think they have to get an email from the company or do you think anyone can call and claim they are from the company and claim vero. Also do you know how long a vero stays on your ebay account, I read 1 year.

Brian, I always go to ebays "help and contact" screen and scroll down to the bottom where you can have ebay call you. They usually call within a couple of minutes :)

I buy 10 pieces airpods pro from Facebook market and sell on ebay and get VeRO suspended. They ask me my ID, address and from where I get this airpods. So I'm scared to give my information. But I want to do buisness in are future. Just this time I nerver sell airpods 😬 please help how to get my account back.?
