Whats really cool about the balancing in this game is how they handle age. I feel lije she takes more damage because she is the oldest out of all the bosses you face.
If you get hit once it's brutal. You face an infinite chain of fuckery. First I got here with 24 years and I was prepared to just stand and deliver to make it through, then I was 31 years but I probably would have accepted late thirties. Then I discovered a method where you almost never get hit, and I made it to sanctuary with 25 years.
@@xavierm.9429 its not a metaphor. its to show that with age you become physically weaker, but you become wiser. in eastern martial arts older masters are often very skilled, even moreso than younger martial artists. your characters strength increasing with age is meant to show that you are becoming a better fighter as you age
If you want more damage for your focus, try doing the eye strike, followed by the palm strike, followed by the chasing trip kick. This will put massive damage on them, and that palm strike trip kick combo can be applied in any opening. This feels like a cheese on some bosses like level 2
How can I do the trip kick ? I have it unlocked but for some reason I can’t do it , even though I know how to but it doesn’t preform. I can do every other move except this one

your guides are so incredible, and as a result I am now on the final level at age 20 with plenty of breathing room ready to take on Yang. Can't wait to get the true ending.
That’s what I’m doing, I’ve managed to finish 1,2,3 at age 20, I’m doing the same with 4th level to so I’ll have some breathing room with Yang, heard he’s not to be messed with! Every boss seems hard first few times, but once you learn their moves it becomes much more easier!
In due time. Their only other game is Absolver, which allowed them to make this gem. Safe to say that Sloclap has a *very* bright future in the industry. I cannot wait for their next title!
This just made me realize how much of a sweat I am at thus game considering he said you're most likely around age 25 and here I am still at 20, I died alot, Kuroki was very difficult, and even parts of level 4 I have to stay on my toes
I beat her first run through of the level. She definitely was the easiest. Im currently going into the last level at age 40. I started the level at 33.
i also use heavy attacks on enemies when its "my turn" i feel like it does more damage than the light attacks and bosses recover more quickly than regular enemies until their structure is damaged a lot
I get hit so much in this fight, she's definitely the hardest boss for me. I don't know why people say she's easiest. I entered the fight at 21, finished it at 27, and that's my best result so far. The problem is, even a single missed swing from her destroys my structure, and could take off 1/3 of my healthbar if unlucky. I'm sure plenty of people have perfect reaction, but I'm not one of them
@@lonestar199 Kuroki is very easy, once you know how to deal with her first phase. Oh, if you mean the enemies before Jinfeng, I used charged backfist + knife to insta-kill the strongest ones. I now finished all the levels at 20, the last boss at 24
I’m currently trying to do a no death run. I’ve gotten to this fight and I’ve only died once. It’s the room leading up to this boss that keep killing me

Man.. I've got the platinum trophy in this game but this boss is the absolute hardest for me. I've yet to finish this stage at 20, best I can do is 21.

I discovered a new method to cheese this boss. This will make the second phase much easier than the first. The secret is: 1) you can throw in weapons into the boss area from the platform with the shrine. 2) just keep strafing right with the avoid move. 19/20 button commands you do in this fight should be: Guard+Right. She will only hit you 1 in 100 times if you do this. 3) if you get hit, wait for the three attacks she does, and recover stamina. 4) in the second phase, right right right, when the attacks are over, run towards her with the low slide, 2x light attack, and strafing right again. With this method you don't need to time any R1 push correctly.
was getting so pissed at this boss cause I couldn't get pass her moves. Hearing how easy she was but getting my butt handed to me I was like whats happening. Love this game even though my controller took a beating lol

This woman had me on the verge of rage when fighting her. Not as bad as yang did, but she was a close second. Just for example heres a little order of which boss gave me more trouble(most to least): Yang was a freaking menace Jinfeing was a close second Kuroki was rough(id honestly put her up there with the ceo) Fajar gave me a bit of trouble And sean, once i got an idea of his attacks and such wasnt too much of a challenge. Keep in mind, i just got this gamerecently and did both endings on easy mode. Might change this list once i do a higher difficulty
Here's another method to easily beating her, use thigh cut focus. You can easily bring a knife to the fight and if you have two focus bars you can just use one per phase. Just run in and use it and then she's in the orange. You just have to keep up the pressure until you kill her
to everyone losing a life when they drop, you can go further down. they'll be a shrine when youve reached the furthest down you can go, and if you drop down from there, you won't lose a life
after I hardly beat Koruki with two death, I am 22 facing this (b) . Hope I don't die once so that I face the final boss in this age and win that trophy of beating the game 25 or lower🏆

Always use eye poke. It's because enemies are stunned for longer with it. Instead of using your focus to sweep the enemy and do two punches with eye poke you can do a heavy attack and then sweep manually and do an extra 2 hits.
Eh…..This boss is less effective up close, which is why the majority of her attacks push you outside of focus range. Running away puts you in the range in where she is most dangerous.
I fight her in close and dodge while in her face and attack after every swing she does I feel like I’m in a movie and I’m OP and her having a weapon was just a desperate attempt to beat someone on the level of her leader and I taunt all the bosses while fighting to make them fight my game and not just reacting to them. I learned that almost every move can be interrupted if u use the right attack and the duck punch n crouch punch works best and to show off I use the tiger strike then back fist… back fist works best on yang because it interrupts his shuffle kick
I was 74 when i reached this boss and somehow i did it in the first try and now i just want to improve the age because doing the sactuary with one life is not optimal
@@darkpromeathean937 The only annoying thing is when u use a weapon and she manage to disarm u and u try to get it back, she will land most of her attack and keeping u away from ur weapon ^^ how many times she zero me to death only because i wanted my staff back 😂😂 in fact if she disarm u, keep fighting with ur kung fu ;)

I KNOW RIGHT? i feel like she's been buffed since this video, i had less trouble with kuroki. i went into the fight at age 27 and gave up at 68, its fucking unbearable this is the only boss i have gotten seriously stuck on
This is the only boss I beat on the first try without dying. The artist was the most annoying for me because at that stage I’d just gotten used to blocking to observe patterns but I couldn’t do that to her without losing health. I can get a full run under 25 easy now but I’ve yet to get a no death. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed and dropped quick if you don’t focus up.

Indeed. Glad to see that game have that coherence in gameplay. Player loose max health with age so do others.
Also she is the one that makes most damage if you let her hit you, the same way the character does when he gets older

There's a Kuroki Knife Cheese even without the Shortcut. The only challenge is managing to take th knife to the boss fight.
Her second phase is way easier.

She’s just a mindfuck initially. Once you realize she always goes low on the 3rd hit, it’s pretty damn easy. Beat her without dying on my second try.

But you can try this too next time : move toward her while dodging on the side she will not touch you even the circular down shot.
When she grabs you you can dodge to the side and get hits in

The slide kick doesn't work very well against her when she pauses, she doesn't stumble and tends to just resume her animation.

Lvl 3 boss took me 15 tries, lvl 4 boss one try.

What do you think of structure impact damage. I tried it out and it seems ok but it’s only on parry and you can’t do it on bosses

This one's harder than the other bosses imo. But once I figure out her moves I will beat her

This fight glitched I broke her stucture and health so I had another chance wear I could spear her but since she was 0 HP I couldn't pull it off
