This is great! When I lived in Brooklyn, a woman who lived in my building saw it and she loved it. She was very sweet, a retired 2nd grade teacher. She was also one of those classic Brooklyn characters that you see portrayed every once in awhile. Squeaky Brooklyn accent, spent her summer weekends with her retired girlfriends sunning on the beaches out at Rockaway. I’ll never forget what she said about Harry Connick, Jr. An unintentional insult that was meant as a sincere compliment. “Yeah, I liked him. I thought he was fine. I don’t know why everyone’s being so mean about it. I mean, he’s playing a psychiatrist. He’s supposed to be dull.”
Saw the Bway production. It was one of the performances she opted up at the end. I knew it was coming and remember almost peeing my pants when it actually happened, and the thunderous mid-show applause after this number was unbelievable although there were just a few of us in the theater. She didn't come out to the stage door between shows which is totally understandable since it was a cold, cold, nasty December day and I would have hated for her to get sick and miss shows. Harry did come out to meet us and I remember him being super nice and actually talked to people despite the awful weather. Didn't quite like the show and was there mainly to see her. Got to see her four more times (once in Nice Work, twice in Drood - I needed to see more than one ending, and once in Waitress. What a talent.
faye76000 but you can't make an abstract concept accurate. They didn't make a mistake haha. It was intentionally made to look nothing like a real microphone.
One of my favourite moments in this capture: while waiting out the thunderous applause following her showstopping rendition of Ev’ry Night at Seven, Jessie seems to reach towards the mic stand to move it aside, but it has (of course) sunk back into the stage; she laughs seeming almost surprised that it’s gone then continues to move towards Harry. It’s a very subtle bit but it’s just another facet of her completely endearing performance.
Is there a full bootleg? I wasn't aware that there was a one from previews! So much for uploading this I've never heard an applause mid show like the one after her singing ev'ry night at seven wow! And to think she was the unknown in this show at the time as well.
aurora spiderwoman Ahahah I'm obsessed with mueller so I've watched the other bootleg so many times so I noticed the wigs and choreography were different. Does the full preview exist? Also I don't suppose you know what dates the two boots were filmed by any chance? Sorry you just really seem to know your stuff ahah
aurora spiderwoman i knew it was a preview too! Its the long hair she has in the first clip, it was also there in their commercial footage but it wasnt there (the long hair) when the show opened ;D also...i neeeeeeed this bootleg! Message me if you can @ micaelam1999@gmail.com ! Thank you for such a gem!
My day can be a royal bore It leaves me colder than a basement floor The only moment I keep waiting for Is when the day will be through I never know if it's dark or clear What people say to me I hardly hear The passing hours are an endless year Until at last I'm alone with you (Chorus) Ev'ry night at seven you walk in as fresh as clover And I begin to sigh all over Again Ev'ry night at seven you come by like May returning And me-oh-my, I start in yearning Again You seem to bring faraway spring near me I'm always in full bloom When you're in the room For ev'ry night at seven, ev'ry time the same thing happens I fall once again in love, but only with you
THE WORLD NEEDS A JESSIE MUELLER FUNNY GIRL REVIVAL!!!!
WAIT TELL. ME. ABOUT. IT. SHE SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE BARBARA
I saw this show and thought the same thing in her first five seconds on stage.
Only Jessie Mueller's facial expressions can make me go from ecstatic (Every Night at Seven) to practically crying (the next clip). WHAT A QUEEN
I literally laugh out loud in disbelief EVERY time I watch this. She. Is. INCREDIBLE.

I agree about Funny Girl! Jessie is a true star. Thank you so much for this upload and for your most amazing channel!
Thank you, glad you are liking it.
Seeing her in Carousel and can’t wait!!! Thank you so much for posting Spiderwoman!
Am I the only one that loved the trippy set?
That microphone prop is so inaccurate I'm slightly offended.
faye76000 it's abstract. Nothing's real. No need to take offense
Harris Cohen it's the kind of detail I'd expect Broadway to do better in. Hence slightly offended.

That thing the guy is playing is not a freaking piano either, but with that voice who cares what's happening upstage.

I saw her in this show. She was fantastic. I knew she would be a huge star after seeing it. I loved how they did a revisal of this show.
God I love her talent.
Ditto.
I absolutely loved the revival... I know, I shouldn't admit to it, but I did! Lol
Jessie Mueller i love you

Hi! I know this may be late. But can i get a copy of this boot too? Please!
My day can be a royal bore
It leaves me colder than a basement floor
The only moment I keep waiting for
Is when the day will be through
I never know if it's dark or clear
What people say to me I hardly hear
The passing hours are an endless year
Until at last I'm alone with you
(Chorus)
Ev'ry night at seven you walk in as fresh as clover
And I begin to sigh all over
Again
Ev'ry night at seven you come by like May returning
And me-oh-my, I start in yearning
Again
You seem to bring faraway spring near me
I'm always in full bloom
When you're in the room
For ev'ry night at seven, ev'ry time the same thing happens
I fall once again in love, but only with you
Jessie is truly amazing. Harry is dull as dishwater.
Glorious. 🤍
