A video on clothing to wear for shooting Polaroids is a brilliant idea! I definitely consider what I’m wearing when I shoot instant film. Have to have somewhere to put the shots to develop and stay safe.
Fun fact: that matching Q Light flash for the Box camera actually cannot do fill Flash. I have the manual for one says to use a flashbar for fill Flash. The Q light also won't allow the camera to to take a photo until the flash has recharged.
I'm kind of confused about how the flash can be used as a substitute of the nd filter, how does it works? Does it need to be turned on with every 600 film's shot? Or can i just plug it in and I'm good to go?
Hmm wondering if the on-camera flash will still go off if we connect that cable to it to use studio strobes ? Because if it does well then we have on camera flash which defeats the purpose 😢
Chris, love the channel!! Watching in Dublin, Ireland. I tried to get this direct from MiNt but they had a three month delivery time and a postage charge that was almost as much as the flash itself!! I reached out to them and they ship from Hong Kong so... Went onto Ebay and picked one up for €85 new including postage. And I love it!!! No camera conversations this side of the pond and even though my camera dealer (Conn's Cameras in Dublin) stock SX-70 film, the flash works great with 600 film. I even tried a pack of i-Type with a battery strapped to is back, just for that black frame loveliness, and it was great. Did of course get the flash setting wrong twice, but used to it now. I definitely recommend this flash!!
Thank you!! I really appreciate that!! I genuinely enjoy making this content and won’t stop regardless of subscriber count. I even have some pretty big juicy news come in soon!!!! You didn’t hear it for me but i’m opening a studio space!!! I can’t wait!!
A few years ago I got it during a sale @ Impossible. However due to the SLR680 I did not use the flash yet on my SX70. Now I know how it works. Thanks for the useful information how this flash works.
Been thinking about getting this flash for a while. I usually use a flash from the ‘70s or ‘80s that gives a very distinct look. It works sometimes, but man have flashes improved over the decades!
I’d say not, I find more color in my 600 shots. In my personal experience, I feel the SX-70 film turns out more “dreamy”/ pastel color like, whereas my 600 shots tend to show more vibrant colors. This is based off of my experience.
@@JustAnotherChris Cool! Yeah the camera seems to work great. But there’s situations where I really want the flash. In some ways I prefer its simplicity over the Now+. But I’ve also been getting used to how my Now+ behaves. Anyways thanks for the reply!
Not exactly. You can always use it as light but it wouldn’t communicate with the camera. You would have to just leave it on and point it at your subject.

Still something I have been wanting to make

Yes it would need to be turned on to the half moon setting and you should be good to go.

They advertise this as no ND filters needed again. Does this also let me to use 600film outside during the day in my SX-70 without an ND filter?
Yes as explained in the video
So if you wanted to, you could put the Mint Flash Bar on the SX-70 Sonar and shoot 600? No conversion necessary?
I bought two SLR680s. They work well. But I like my MINT electronic MINT flash bars.
I got a sx70 model 3 and just got a mint flashbar for it but the flash is to heavy causothe viewfinder to close what do i doooo

That’s what I’m here for!
Will this work on a Polaroid Pronto that uses SX-70 film and flashbar add-on.
Yeah it will
@@JustAnotherChris Thank you very much.
What ND value would I need to shoot 600 film? I want to have it converted but soo expensive.

I would say it’s worth it!
@@JustAnotherChris sounds good to me! I’m gonna keep an eye out for a good deal though…
That may be hard to do on this one. But keep an eye out on eBay or I did leave a Direct link on Amazon in the description
Would this work on a Spirit 600 Land camera?
Unfortunately not
do you know if there are any existing similar products that would be compatible? Thanks @@JustAnotherChris
Clothing for instant photography. Yes. Yes. Yes. Love left field content like that
alrighty then!!!
Was literally just thinking about buying this as it was on sale, talk about great timing!
Heck’s yeah!!!!
So wait are the sx-70 photos more colorfull than 600 film?

Yooo any idea if this would work with an old time-zero onestep land camera?
I think it would yeah.

I’m new to Polaroid, but could you also use a Lume Cube as an external light for a Polaroid?
Not exactly. You can always use it as light but it wouldn’t communicate with the camera. You would have to just leave it on and point it at your subject.
@@JustAnotherChris Thanks for your reply. It would be great if someone could figure out a way for the camera and the Lume Cube to communicate.
I dress a little different when i go out for photography. 1 some clothes can scratch camera's like zipper heavy clothing. And pockets r a must imo.
Got this thing for two years and I like it!
That’s awesome!
Love your channel
🙏
yeah Another new video
I do what I can!
Just showing some love for your channel take it easy and peace be the journey ✌✌✌✌

I have had mixed reusluts with it, better with 500 than SX70 for me!!!
Please do a fashion show!!!
Haha now that gives me an idea!!! 🤔
