      Well there is a bit of twee affectedness that straddles the fine line between irritatingly crocked and charming.
      Quite typical for millennials too.
      But then again, if you take away mannerisms from humans, you remove everything.

      rustybuttpate well, first of all where better place to say it than here?
      And sure, it could be taken as a backhanded compliment.
      But look, I’ll never meet this guy and I like him for his personality, knowledge and enthusiasm.
      He probably dislikes me saying what I did (like most people react to even slight criticism these days, esp. a trait of millennials seems to have honed, of being great at dealing out pseudo intellectual critique, but then being very thin skinned about taking any back. Or being allergic to any kind of negativity at all).
      But if what I wrote can plant even the slightest seed in his mind, that will help him in the future, then I’ll be happy.
      Again, it’s not a a big thing at all, what I’m talking about, but I could imagine certain people being turned off, or not taking him seriously because of it.
      Perhaps I’m wrong, and people love a bit of put on, idiosyncratic fragile tweeness?

    Aside from a Polaroid 250, that used the 100 and 660 series peel-apart pack films, I used a Polaroid 110 (Polaroid roll film) that had been converted to take those films. It was an interesting experience to use a fully manual Polaroid camera, and I even used a Metz 60CT flash for "informal event portraits" ("Selfies" of the 1980's.;) My uncle, who lived on Hawaii island, was a fan of the SX70 Polaroid and other auto exposure cameras, until he discovered the Minolta Maxxum system. About this time, I did political campaign photos and Polaroid OneStep + Flashbar photos with the candidate was something I did when the 35mm camera was set aside.

    I love Polaroids because of the instant photo you get and it’s so much fun! I shoot b&w and the Polaroid b&w film is really good! My favorite is landscapes with good light and contrast.

    If one can't find the OG SX-70 accessories, MiNT also released a handy lens filter kit that fits both the original and Sonar models. It includes a blue filter, yellow filter, close-up lens, and fisheye/wide angle. The close up and yellow filter are really handy indeed!

    Awesome video. Great time for it too, interest growing and this channel gonna hit 8K soon. In my experience, the Mint Flashbar 2, even though they added a 6th capacitor, still isn't nearly as bright as the older ones or the burning aluminum bulbs. And I LOVE the Polatronic flash for SX-70 but irritatingly, it won't attach to the bottom of an early SX-70 and the electrical plug is even incompatible. Another great video from our northern neighbor.

    Sure, why not. Subbed now. Awesome vid! I remember the Polaroid era, but I never saw any accessories for it. Oddly enough, it was more or less affordable for normal people to buy and use these cameras. And an almost instantly developed photo in your hands? Space-age stuff man.

    I used to have a spectra system CSI Kit! Lol! It was basically a spin off of the one you have with the stand but came in special case and a slightly different lens. You would probably fill a warehouse if you had every type of Polaroid camera and accessory.

    Não sabia que haviam tantos acessórios.

    Obrigado.

    I have two Land Cameras and 10 packs of peel to develop film. I kept the film in the fridge all the years. I kept up the cameras too. I guess I am waiting for the end of the world because I keep putting off using the film.

    I love polaroid cameras of all types, (I remember my father with his 95a and later... 100 series) but why go on about the Spectra models when there is no film available for them today? I have a few SX-70 versions, a 660 and a newer i-Type. Keep the instant alive.

    What is the back slot on the Onestep sonar? The one right behind the flash socket? I have a sonar and cant figure that out......

    • @AnalogResurgence
      @AnalogResurgence  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's used for a few separate flash accessories from what I can tell. I have a Polatronic flash unit that has a plug that can change between a single contact like a normal SX-70 or a double one that plugs into both on top of the Sonar Onestep. I'm not sure how many other units would be designed just for that camera.

    Hey! Any chance you'd be willing to sell (or possibly even rent?) that Polatronic 2350? I'm working on my USC Thesis project and need 5 of them to pair with my SX-70 Sonars (a major prop in the film!) however I'm having a lot of trouble finding ones which include the mounting brackets! I've only got 2 so far, and only one which has the complete mounting system!
    I'll shoot you an email and/or a message on IG as well.

    Just got a email from Polaroid,,, they have stopped making spectra film..... they said to get it while it’s still available which won’t be long...!! I instantly ordered a three pack of color spectra film.... terrible news ..... what do you know about this sad news analog resurgence??

    • @AnalogResurgence
      @AnalogResurgence  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know! I just saw the news today, guess it’s time to put together something on the rise and fall of the Spectra...I loved that film.

    Yknow, kinda unrelated, but I find it strange how back in the day, Polaroid could fit 10 shots in one cartridge and the knock offs could only fit in 8 shots. But now, the Polaroid company can only fit in 8 shots and the knock offs can fit in 10 frames.
    (The reason why I remembered this is because of the disposable flash bars. The Polaroid one’s had 5 bulbs per side and Kodak had 4 per side.
