You have the prettiest hands, you should be a hand model! Thank you for this tutorial. I was really trying to find a straight croc/dragon scales that go across instead of a triangular shawl. You explained it to where it's easy to do!
I am a beginner and this was very easy to follow even though I sped up the to 1.5x speed. It was easy to understand. I could see clearly what Kristi was doing and why. If someone wants to see it done more slowly, they just have to slow down the video. (It amazes me how people complain about free instructional videos. just move on to another video you like better.) And, apparently it needs to be multiples of five. Thanks for the video! I had downloaded a pattern for gloves and now I can do it.
I'm so confused about row 3. If I just repeat then I add more scales to the row and it would just keep getting bigger. I'm going to try to figure this out on my own as I already spent so much time on 2 rows because I made a 3ft chain
For row 2, after your layer of double crochets, do the stitches go around the first post (the gap between posts) or In the chains that make up the post?
Thank you for posting this. Other comments to the contrary, I found it helpful - I was utterly stuck on a pattern bought on ravelry which is horribly written, and you filled in the steps the pattern designer had left out.
Great video. You make what looks to be difficult easy. It would help if you zoomed in some so it would be easier to see where you are putting the hook.
I've watched two videos to do this stitch and both do it differently. There are lots of other comments about this video going too fast. Could you record another video doing this stitch but a lot slower so we can really clearly see what is going on please ? I think this might be great for intermediate/advanced stitches. But for beginners this is really hard to follow due to the speed.
I wish you had shown a few more rows. I don't seem to be ending the rows correctly. The scales are not staggered. Also, it should be mentioned that every other row will be six scales not five, right?
Find another video. This lady makes it more difficult than it has to be. Others are much better explaining it, *and* has a much better beginning that's clearer to understand. Here ya go to get you a great beginning: th-cam.com/video/6lCu5U3LPZc/w-d-xo.html
I absolute love the crocodile stitch and I need to know the color/name of the yarn you use in your TH-cam video at th-cam.com/video/q0FKF1ZLJhI/w-d-xo.html. Also what would you suggest for a Christmas gift with this stitch! Thank you so much for this lovely stitch!
Ma'am, l hope you take this as constructive criticism. You are going way too fast. The thread used in a tutorial should always be a solid. How can anyone see these stitches if you do not zoom in? Now l will find another video and hopefully learn this stitch.
I'm sorry... this needs to be zoomed in on & you said after the chain that you weren't going to go so fast, but yet you never slowed down. This is basically a video watching you crochet and telling everyone what you're doing. This is not a video to learn from. Your work is nice, but if you want to teach then this needs to be way slower.
Agreed. I just made a comment that with all the other videos I've been watching, she made this stitch *way* too difficult--more so than it needed to be! Big fail.
I have made over a dozen different items with this stitch except for a scarf, which was a request. I appreciate the video, but your technique is different from what I know and you go way too fast that I think beginners on this stitch will have a hard time. I've been crocheting for 45 years now,( learned) when I was 7 and am now 52 and I found it a tad fast for myself as well. But again thanks for the video. God Bless
So disappointed in this channel. I have watched three different videos now, but none are good. Video too far from work and/or not zoomed in. Going too fast, like you have somewhere else to be. Only doing a row or two, instead of spending a bit more time showing how it looks as you move along. Not giving info about how to increase if you're making something bigger (multiples of 3,4,5+2?), Making shortcuts for brevity, when the last thing we need now is shortcuts. Finally, saying to reach out in the comments section for questions, but never responding. No one will likely read this, so probably a waste of my time, but anyway...
Unfortunately I do not think your tutorial is very clear. You don't give clear indications of what size hook you use and very difficult to follow you and your fingers are all the way in the way so you cannot see what you are busy doing. Sorry. Just my opinion

Simple and well-explained! Luv it! Also you sound like a sweet person :)

I like ur hands - no rings, no colors on ur nails :) BEAUTIFUL :) Thumb up!
She has a ring!
I love it you are doing great crocheting
FINALLY! After trying 6 other videos yours did the trick. Thank you thank you thank you
so easy and simple to follow thank you. i usually hate video toturials but this was great

Very unclear tutorial

Que bonito 😄😘😍

Oh lovely u teach very nicely keep sending tutorials
I am making a blanket using this stitch, what multiple is this in? Much thanks! Very simple pattern and easy to understand :)
Another video said multiples of 5 +1. Hope that helps!
Would it be possible to make a lot of these as granny squares to make a blanket out of them?
What size hook are you using?
Great video. You make what looks to be difficult easy. It would help if you zoomed in some so it would be easier to see where you are putting the hook.
Karen Semones (
Wow.... U r very good teaching.... I love it.....
What are the multiples of the stitches? I want to make it longer than just a swatch.
What is the multiple for this pattern?
Multiples of 5 + 1. She casted on 4 sets making it 21 (4x5) + 1
I've watched two videos to do this stitch and both do it differently.

What yarn are you using, silk, cotton etc...and brand. Thank you.
Hiiii
I want to this type hand cover plzz
I think if you show one more set of rows, it might me more clear how it's staggered between 5 and 6 "scales."
I agree. Doesn’t show how to close out the second row.
I wish you had shown a few more rows. I don't seem to be ending the rows correctly. The scales are not staggered. Also, it should be mentioned that every other row will be six scales not five, right?

I have trouble turning
What kind of yarn did you use and colorway?
My rows do not end properly either no matter how many times I try.
Watch this video instead: th-cam.com/video/6lCu5U3LPZc/w-d-xo.html
This lady makes it more difficult than it needs to be.
your string wont let me see
Please in the beginning you need to tell us multiple of stiches
Great video, but hard to see what your doing because of the yarn your using
I appreciate the work. However, I like to see what you are teaching and I can't. 🌻

Decline Decline try BellaCoco crocodile stitch. It was easier for me to pick up with her videos. She slows down and zoom in
Agreed. I just made a comment that with all the other videos I've been watching, she made this stitch *way* too difficult--more so than it needed to be! Big fail.
Way too fast couldn't keep up even when I was pausing and replaying
Slow down the video.

The angle of the camera clearly shows your hands but not the yarn so I don't understand what's going on well. :( Plus, it's a bit fast.
Toooooooo fast......

You are going way to fast lady. Impossible for a beginner to follow;(

Tkx but sorry not zooom .cant enjoy .cloz up plz ok ⭐️
I've been watching other videos, and she made this one _way_ too difficult. :(
SLOWWWWWW DOWNNNNNNN
