So, both music videos have a deeper message. I am a lyrics geek so when I think something is deeper I do my best to figure it out or to at least make sense to me. I’ve read and listened to interviews, did a deep dive into the Korean and the English versions of Like Crazy because they are a little different and you get more information. I watched all the extra content on BangtanTV. (I have no life.) But Jimin seemed to open up most on Suchwita EP7. He was interviewed by Suga and Jimin was very candid with many of his answers. As we thought Like Crazy is much deeper than the dreamy upbeat sound would make you think. This Suchwita was so good! Laughs, serious honest talk, and sweet brotherly love.
Wow! What a great analysis of Like Crazy, the song and mv! Really enjoyed it David! 🙌 I agree that Jimin is super creative as an artist and gave the world a fantastic album ! 🫶
Bravo to Jimin! Well done David. Thank you and team for the analysis of ‘Face Album’. Truly appreciate your insight of KPop and Korean culture. Encore 👏 👍
What I thought about the MV is, that he always told there is a time he was lost and drunk. In the MV we could see him drunk and lost. He knows he's kind of losing himself because of that emotions thoughts and bad habits and that's mentioned by the mud, it's the dirt but he couldn't let go. Also, they are kind of lover for him which consoles him when he feels lonely. You know sometimes our selfs are our biggest enemies, but we love them because its our own self. Our "self" itself is a kind of lover, we can't let go right? I think the whole album takes over us through the jimin who is facing himself and finally breaking the barriers that made by himself like in set me free pt 2.
I wish people would go back in music history to the NEW WAVE music of the 1980s rather that stopped at The Weeknd and Harry Styles as if they were the start of this trend. I get that you are all young and all. CHECK OUT A-HA "TAKE ON ME".
Congrats to Jimin despite what Hanteo tried to do. This is a really good song. I've been listening to it on my way to work every day since. Thanks David!
This is probably the most realistic theory that makes total sense. Way better than the overanalyzed ones saying he’s exploring his woman side or time traveling 😂 David stuck true with the lyrics, MV, and Jimin’s interview to interpretate it. Jimin definitely feels all those emotions mentioned including the adult ones too. Anyone who denies that is not a true fan and wants him to be a unicorn.
@@HailToTheMeep yes, you can interpret art in any way you want to relate for yourself, but some "armies" are going too far and doing it to Jimin himself. You can't "interpret" Jimin. He's a person, not a piece of art or a thing.
In his most recent interview he said he broke up with friends when talking about this song, which ties into what Face Off is about. It’s possible he broke up with a lover too, but will never talk about it other than lyrics, and that’s ok. But I tend to take him at his word and think the song is about how you feel after any type of relationship doesn’t work out.
Also, in his lyrics notes, he wrote “Alcohol” in parentheses. The lyrics sound like they could be talking directly to alcohol… “can you help me numb the pain,” etc. Alcohol is very enticing the way searching for other forms of distraction could be.
@@violethill3745for me, knowing he opened up about difficulties during COVID and how he cope with alcohol, this whole song is about loosing yourself to alcohol, because you want to numb the pain but in the end you realise it's not healthy
ThankYou for your review!! This was awesome!! Very informative and insight full!! I’m looking forward to your future reviews!!! I know Taeyang from is releasing an album so please more!😉👍
I love the fact that BTS as individual members now are showing their true worth. The fact that each one of them is travelling in their own direction, while still being a member of the group is incredible. To the point of the pandemic, watching them evolve into wonderful musicians, each in their own right. I celebrate the fact that each one of them now are now not treated like little boys by a bunch of underage fans. Their growth is phenomenal in this past year.
I've heard talk about a new law regarding Idols under 18 and their working hours which might have a big impact in Kpop. Would love a Kpop Check about it.
David, please analyze Agust D's new pre-release track, People Pt. 2. I want to love it, but the English lyrics in the chorus just don't make sense to my American ears. I'm hoping I'm just too dense to understand them, but they sound like random words selected because they sort of rhyme. I love Suga/Agusta D and hope you can shed light on the English lyrics specifically. Thanks!
thank you for such a good explanation of the song 'like crazy' and breaking down jimin's album 'face'. you always do such a wonderful job with your explanations, the 'frog stuck in the well' was a great one. keep up the good work. oh, is this a new channel, i am subscribed to naked seoul.🟪
Finally!! I had similar theory about this song...but fans are so jealous. Seems like to me during the pandemic Jimin and his gf stayed on distance or smth like that, so it was hard for him to handle it. Drinking, depressed, feeling alone. Nowadays, he looks SO happy so I guess it's connected and he has someone in his life! I hope so🤍 as long as he's the happiest person

I didn't see any ex thing in this song. I feel it is more about facing himself and all his personalities and genras. The mirror dance with the girl goes with this theory.
This whole album kinda broke my heart, jimin doesn’t have a lot of friends, and it seems like he was really broken at that time because of his girlfriend, i really hope he finds someone who actually loves him and cares for him :(

“Give me a good ride” is sex.
She’s riding his ‘you know what’
NOT ALWAYS. It includes sex. It is not exclusively that.
It could also be as "good trip" aka party-haze mood. It's not just a sexual phrase, and "ride" as emotions he wants to feel fits the lyrics more.
