Wow that is such a clear explanation. I love it. Last year I fell into such torment when I heard some false teachings on what it means and that it's possible for it to apply to Christians. Then I read Joseph Prince's book of Destined To Reign and I read that he too had the exact same experience. And what he explained what blaspheming the holy spirit is is exactly what you explained

Hi Loretta. Jesus doesn't say whether it can be done in only your mind. The best clue we have is that the people he was warning (the Scribes) were saying it out loud. If what you're saying is genuine, I would not worry. Jesus says this warning to his outspoken enemies. But you called Satan "the enemy," not Jesus. That's not something Jesus's enemies do. And he says it to people who were afraid his victory would take power from them, but you say you're afraid of sinning against him. That's also not something his enemies do. In your fear, one good verse to look at is Isaiah 66:2.
It says that this video was posted on February 2 2021. That was within the two weeks man when I had a huge fear and anxiety and a meltdown thinking I committed the unpardonable sin. It was January 30th to February 15. Within those two weeks I should have watched this video
First John states if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us. The fact that your worried about it proves you didn’t commit this sin because the Holy Spirit convicts us when we sin.. you wouldn’t care if you committed this sin. To commit this sin you have to willfully and knowingly reject God.. ultimately this is when you reject Jesus as your lord and savior in your life because not to accept him is to condemn yourself.. hope this helps

But I didn't want to be anything like the people who were taken out by the wrath of God. So I inquired of the Holy Spirit. What kind of people were they? What was there character like? The Holy Spirit had me turn to John 12:43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. These represent the fearful. They fear man more than God. Then the Holy Spirit had me turn to Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator who is blessed forever. These represent the fearful. Then the Holy Spirit showed me verse 28. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge God gave them over to a reprobate mind (a mind void of judgment) to do those things which are not convenient. These represent the unbelievers. Then the Holy Spirit took me to Revelation 21:8 But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Those Pharisees had no humility inside of them. No matter how hard the holy Spirit convicted those arrogant members of the Sanhedrin, their hearts were far from God. They had no desire for the Messiah to come. They cared for nothing but their precious authority in the temple. For them it infuriated the idea for the Messiah to take the place of it all
Please, please, please, can Jesus save me. I take back it all. I wasn't even calling him anything bad, it was not intentionally being said about him. When I get mad, I can say things that have no meaning, I'll just say them, like I didn't mean it in that way. I wasn't very educated, and was going through spiritual attacks, and didn't know what blasphemy, or spiritual attacks were. I said some things, that I do regret. Can I get forgiveness out of ignorance, due to me not being very educated. I would never call Jesus Satan, because I am aware that they are 2 different beings, so I wasn't intentionally calling him Satan. I hope Jesus, my true lord and saviour, forgives, and saves me. I didn't know a lot about the Bible, even when I was taught things, most of the time, it wouldn't even stick in my mind, because I was particularly young, and I'm not the best reader. Also what helped was an app called Inspiration Bible Verses Daily (any will be fine) I can’t tell you how many times He spoke to me and my situation daily!
There is one way to receive forgiveness: trust Jesus. His death will pay for all of you sin, even those, whether you understand them or not. His call to you is to believe his death is enough.

These miracle workers in no way credit the Holy Spirit, but rather condemn him, I.e., blaspheme him. So very glad you asked. If God has convicted you, that’s a sign he is working in your heart and softening it to draw you in to him. To receive forgiveness, believe in Jesus, who died to pay for sins just like that one. He is always tender to those who are broken over their sins, as he says in Psalm 51:17 and Isaiah 57:17.

Is Blasphemy forgivable against Jesus & God or is it only unforgivable if it’s towards the HS ? I said something to God although it wasn’t purposely because I meant to say something else. I know God looks at the heart but still the thought of it makes me nervous.
Jesus says in Matthew 12:32 that even one who speaks against the Son of Man (that's him) will be forgiven. Don't be afraid. As the video explains, it isn't the sort of thing where you say a wrong word and can't be forgiven. It's a warning to those who see God's powerful work through his Spirit and revile against it. Eventually those who do that will become too hard-hearted to ever repent.

Look at every place it says against in context. It's speaking opposition against with the purpose of undermining his ministry which is to bring us to his saving grace. They refused to come to him to be saved. It mentions speaketh ( ongoing?) and he then warns them after they said it. What's going on? I have blasphemed the holy sprit 5 or more times not because I want to it was out of OCD I had blasphemous thoughts first time I said “F the holy sprit” then I said “the holy sprit is serving the devil” then I said jesus had an unclean spirit and then I said Jesus was demon possessed and I said Jesus was a demon and I’m scared that I said it I didn’t say it because I had a evil heart no I said it because I was getting constant blasphemous thoughts and that made me said I knew it was unforgivable but I said it beautiful of OCD and I’m Scared I want to serve god yet I had said these not because I want to say it I said out of my blasphemous thoughts I also with I said strengthen the voice of the demon not because I want to say it I said because of thoughts and I never wanted blasphemed the holy sprit yet I feel like I did and I’m scared that I will go to hell 😰😰😰 I’m scared I never wanted to say these it was out fear and blasphemous thoughts I never wanted to insult the holy sprit those were my thoughts which was uncontrollably made me said not because I want to say it my heart was never evil or prideful when I said it
Hi there. We're praying God will give you assurance and strong faith in his Son's work securing forgiveness for sinners. Here is one promise from God's word: "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Rom 10:13). Rather than asking yourself whether what you said was true blasphemy, instead ask yourself if you're willing to believe that promise, that "everyone" truly means everyone, including you. If you are willing to believe that Jesus died for you, that is a sign that the Holy Spirit has not given up on you but is working powerfully within you. Do you believe that Jesus offers you forgiveness, and are you willing to depend on him for it?

Good question. Everyone who repents and comes to Jesus for forgiveness will receive it. The idea is that those hardened enough to blaspheme the Spirit won’t repent. That’s why it won’t be forgiven.
If you have repented and you ask Jesus for His forgiveness you are forgiven,,, just the fact that you are so worried about it shows that you have not hardened your heart against Him,, those who commit this sin don’t even care that they have done it, and they don’t ask forgiveness

I cursed the Bible and said I hate religion. I also denied being a Christian to my family.. Does that mean I've committed this sin? I fear that I have and read his word... We agree that it would take undeniable witness of the Spirit, which is different from what you're talking about. As for the things you confessed, the Apostle Paul was guilty of much worse and Jesus sought him to forgive him.

I would never call Jesus Satan, because I am aware that they are 2 different beings, so I wasn't intentionally calling him Satan. I hope Jesus, my true lord and saviour, forgives, and saves me. I didn't know a lot about the Bible, even when I was taught things, most of the time, it wouldn't even stick in my mind, because I was particularly young, and I'm not the best reader. I rarely went to church growing up. I know that it was Jesus, who died on the cross, to save us from our sins, as our lord and saviour. I was saying it as more of a joke, that I created, due to me being mad. I'm making my case, based off of ignorance, because I didn't know certain things, otherwise I would not have committed it. I am so sorry for what I've done, truthfully, and I hope that others would pray for me, so that I can be forgiven. Please, I really don't want to go to hell. I have also corrected my behavior, and I wanna become an even bigger follower, in Christ. I promise, it'll never happen again.

Also what helped was an app called Inspiration Bible Verses Daily (any will be fine) I can’t tell you how many times He spoke to me and my situation daily!
There is one way to receive forgiveness: trust Jesus. His death will pay for all of you sin, even those, whether you understand them or not. His call to you is to believe his death is enough.

These miracle workers in no way credit the Holy Spirit, but rather condemn him, I.e., blaspheme him. So very glad you asked. If God has convicted you, that’s a sign he is working in your heart and softening it to draw you in to him. To receive forgiveness, believe in Jesus, who died to pay for sins just like that one. He is always tender to those who are broken over their sins, as he says in Psalm 51:17 and Isaiah 57:17.

@@lillierose44 Jesus is powerful enough to handle both of these problems. He is quick to forgive all who ask him for it and also strong enough to send every demon fleeing. Just ask him to.
Jesus has already forgiven u. Now u must forgive others and tell them not to do it. Otherwise, u may b held accountable. But that is not a great sin.

Jesus says in Matthew 12:32 that even one who speaks against the Son of Man (that's him) will be forgiven. Don't be afraid. As the video explains, it isn't the sort of thing where you say a wrong word and can't be forgiven. It's a warning to those who see God's powerful work through his Spirit and revile against it. Eventually those who do that will become too hard-hearted to ever repent.

The scriptures in Hebrews 10:26-29help us understand what insulting the Spirit is and it’s “if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth their remains no more sacrifice for sins but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God” so u doing that through wrong and u want to be forgiven and repent from what you’ve put in the comments and as the rest of the scriptures say “trampled underfoot the blood of the covenant, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace” what u did isn’t insulting the Spirit when reading the scripture Hebrews 10:26-29
(This doesn’t refer to sin in a believers life which they are actively trying to repent of)

Look at every place it says against in context. It's speaking opposition against with the purpose of undermining his ministry which is to bring us to his saving grace. They refused to come to him to be saved. It mentions speaketh ( ongoing?) and he then warns them after they said it. What's going on? I have blasphemed the holy sprit 5 or more times not because I want to it was out of OCD I had blasphemous thoughts first time I said “F the holy sprit” then I said “the holy sprit is serving the devil” then I said jesus had an unclean spirit and then I said Jesus was demon possessed and I said Jesus was a demon and I’m scared that I said it I didn’t say it because I had a evil heart no I said it because I was getting constant blasphemous thoughts and that made me said I knew it was unforgivable but I said it beautiful of OCD and I’m Scared I want to serve god yet I had said these not because I want to say it I said out of my blasphemous thoughts I also with I said strengthen the voice of the demon not because I want to say it I said because of thoughts and I never wanted blasphemed the holy sprit yet I feel like I did and I’m scared that I will go to hell 😰😰😰 I’m scared I never wanted to say these it was out fear and blasphemous thoughts I never wanted to insult the holy sprit those were my thoughts which was uncontrollably made me said not because I want to say it my heart was never evil or prideful when I said it
Hi there. We're praying God will give you assurance and strong faith in his Son's work securing forgiveness for sinners. Here is one promise from God's word: "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Rom 10:13). Rather than asking yourself whether what you said was true blasphemy, instead ask yourself if you're willing to believe that promise, that "everyone" truly means everyone, including you. If you are willing to believe that Jesus died for you, that is a sign that the Holy Spirit has not given up on you but is working powerfully within you. Do you believe that Jesus offers you forgiveness, and are you willing to depend on him for it?
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

Good question. Everyone who repents and comes to Jesus for forgiveness will receive it. The idea is that those hardened enough to blaspheme the Spirit won’t repent. That’s why it won’t be forgiven.
If you have repented and you ask Jesus for His forgiveness you are forgiven,,, just the fact that you are so worried about it shows that you have not hardened your heart against Him,, those who commit this sin don’t even care that they have done it, and they don’t ask forgiveness

I'm so worried cause the blasphemy of holy spirit means that you have entered in the same situation in which you were awakend of. That's what i did. I have seen bad signs simce then like i'm condemned. I pray everyday but i dont feel change and the marks dont fade away. I'm worried...

I cursed the Bible and said I hate religion. I also denied being a Christian to my family.. Does that mean I've committed this sin? I fear that I have and read his word... It seems like you need undeniable witness of the spirit to committ this sin.. I did this because I was going through demonic attacks and ptsd..
We agree that it would take undeniable witness of the Spirit, which is different from what you're talking about. As for the things you confessed, the Apostle Paul was guilty of much worse and Jesus sought him to forgive him.

I believe that if you asked 1,000 preachers all over the world; what "Blaspheming Against the Holy Spirit is: you would get a myriad of DIFFERENT answers. Oh indeed Yes!
For I had pondered that for 75 yrs of my 89 life; to what in the "Pluperfect Hallelujah" does that mean? Yet I got saved at age 9...and still NO plausible answers, to me.
...But that ended when I finally got on my knees; and asked Jesus; to give me wisdom, understanding, and the TRUTH!. Within days, I began to see things I had NEVER seen; and I heard things I had NEVER heard. YET...they were always there. Believe it or not.
Thus, I now believe with all my heart, mind and soul; that I understand what the Blaspheming against the Holy Spirit means! Could I be wrong? ABSOLUTELY Yes! But then, all others could be wrong too!
So the following below; is what I believe it means:
I'll begin this way...The Holy Spirit often offers the FREE gift of "Everlasting Life: to EVERY person that will ever have lived. And the HS will not stop "nudging" until either; they accept the gift or they die. Period.
Now, what is the "64 thousand dollar" answer; as to what any one has to do; to accept the gift? Huh? Well...it is this simple. When any one first "Believes IN Jesus"; immediately the Holy Spirit will "Baptize' their Soul and "Circumcise" their Heart. The "2nd Birth" (Born Again). But NOT a "fleshly birth"
Rather: It is a "Spiritual Birth" from Heaven; that will NEVER die forever! However...if ANY one does NOT accept that "Free gift" by the time they draw their last breath; they WILL be cast into hell on Judgment Day. Believe it or not.
For "they" have committed the "UN-pardonable Sin". AKA: ..."Blaspheming against the Holy Spirit". Proof?
