It may sound superficial, but I also just really hate the design of the new "essentials" lineup. Old H6 looks like a tool. It's timeless, it's functional, it's simple. Why in the world does the H6E (and other devices in the lineup) look like some "gaming" peripheral from 2010? Why all the sharp angles? Why jarring blue buttons? Who looked at this design and said "yeah, that's what the professional equipment should look like"?
Very valid point. That thought crossed my mind to. I too shrugged it off initially. Sometimes we try to do too much. Sometimes the customer is to blame for wanting new. What’s wrong with keeping the old design but updating the engine. Guess when we are in the minority, no one listens. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
but it explicitly says "essential" on the box. And it didn't say that in "the old days". So that should make you thinking bevor you buy. To me "essential" suggests: the bare minimum.
