Pete and Hilary, your channel is one of the best on TH-cam. Love your vids and what you share with us. 🙏
Hope you both have a SUPER day!
I watch big seed and beef farmers and they spend time fixing fences and equipment, hauling grains and looking up the weather. Your smaller scale allows for time with the animals and fixing and restoration. Much more fun. Less stress. Much less debt too.
I will be sad to see the pigs go as I think they are the stars of the show. I do however understand the economics of getting rid of the pigs. Thanks
He thinks he may keep ages for personal use,,,
I hope.
I agree the pigs are the cutest of the show !
Pigs are my favourite along with the cows
Since neither Billie or Bossy are aging out I wonder what is going on there.
Yeh I’ll miss them too. They’re so cute
I didn’t realize how much I was missing the farm and animals. Thanks, Pete and Hilary. Have a great rest of your week.
Makes me homesick for my childhood farm❤🥹
We have a small hobby farm with dairy cattle and chickens so far. We’d like to add pigs soon. We have chores every day, including hand milking my cow. I STILL enjoy watching you do your farm chores while I drink my morning coffee after Bible time. I watch you do your work and it inspires me to go out and do mine! Thanks for your videos!
"It is deer season. So... You can bet what that was"
and my Brain went: Rabbits!! 🤦♀
You always are putting out videos when I’m supposed to be doing my dang morning chores ! 🎉 Thanks for video
Canada geese are calling everybody to head south to the warm shores of Florida. You really feel the seasonal changes on the farm
I, for one, am glad to see both of you with smiles on your faces this morning. My farm operation plans seem to change from week to week. 2024 looks to be the year that I lock it down and make it start working and being profitable once again. Pete, Hillary, y'all are an inspiration to us all. Thank You
He is using Farmalls. Maybe you should too.
Hey Pete hope y'all are doing well. Really good to see you guys can't wait to the next one
Love the way Titus answers you when you talk to him 😊
Hey Pete, enjoy your Thanksgiving!
The fall retraction of choirs. It comes with snow but gives you restoration time in the warm shop. I look forward to the Holidays with hot chocolate with the grandchildren and all their winter activities. Thank you Pete and Hillary for sharing life with us.
Watching the geese come over is a type of marker that stems me grateful, another change of season.
I can't believe another year! Time just flying by!
I was more worried about you and Hilary than the animals or tractors the wife and I were just talking about how few videos you were putting out,it doesn't matter what you video just keep us informed on your well being another good video stay safe and God bless
Always so nice seeing those CANADIAN 😘 geese across a blue autumn sky.
😉
It’s working! It’s working! The water is working!!! 💦
Thank you so much for bringing us back to the farm animals today. I really missed the cattle, the pigs, and the chickens! 🐄🐖🐓
I know you gotta keep up the maintenance of your farm equipment, and you display fabulous workmanship. You have a wonderful hobby. But I get lost in all that mechanical tech stuff. 🚜
So, today, I was so thrilled to see an update on your farm. Thank you. 😊
Bossy Pig, Billy the Boar, and Brownie have become “regulars” on the videos. Like other viewers, I will miss them and their unique personalities. I realize that farming is a business and pigs are not pets; but if I could I’d buy them and let them live out their days. Thank you, Pete, for sharing!
The cattle have such pretty winter coats this year!
Pete, I replaced my hand Post Driver with a gas powered unit. At 60, this Geezer's shoulder, back and recovery is so much better. Just a suggestion on one guy's homestead to another guy's farm. Keep up the good work and Red Paint.
So sad no piglets. One would have though Brownie and Bossie had both been bred. Billy appeared to go thru the motions. I’m glad they’re going to get another chance.
Is there Viagra for pigs ?🤗
If neither of the females was bred ….. logic would suggest looking at the male.
I'm glad Billy is getting another chance he's still young and full of life. I'm hoping they keep the pigs till old age.
Apparently youbmissed the part where he said they were QLL going to be butchered. The 2 have a 2nd chance if they get piglets but even then it sounds like after that they are gone too.
Thanks Pete and Hilary for a trip around your farm 😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The sound of the geese overhead nearly made me cry. I live in northern Arkansas now after spending years in Florida. And I never heard geese in either place. I did live near the Mississippi flyway if anybody knows what that is.. my whole life. And all the sound of the geese when the sky was filled with them is something I cherish and will remember forever. I envy you
Your will to keep trying with the pigs despite the current situation is admirable. Will be a shame if Billy doesn't work out - he's quite a character, but it will also be understandable. Pigs are a lot of work and a lot of investment with very little return on non-industrial scale.
Not worth their own stench.
There is little return on them on industrial scale. Pete would be doing a good job breaking even. Actually being able to make money off them is a stellar performance.
Thanks for video. God bless your family.Happy thanksgiveing.
@@ghammond3132 unfortunately they are the exception, not the rule.
Especially in today's economic climate, the majority of people want cheap. Small farms can't produce cheap. Pete went pretty in depth into this a few weeks ago.
Over here in the UK the situation is that large scale farming is to the point that after expenses, the net profit per head is in the pennies.
If you raise 1 or 2 pigs for your own personal feed, slaughter and butcher your own meat, (very hard to do legal slaughter your self) then you can save money, but if you try to do less than 200 heads, you will loose money.
I'll miss the pigs but understand that you all know when it's time. Blessings and blessings and Blessings to you and Hillary and your farm and animals. They are absolutely 💯.
Always enjoy your relaxed jargon. Thanks for the lessons presented with such enjoyable presentation. You and Hillary really rock. Have a great winter.
this channel is a temporary antidote to all the cringe in the world
12 minutes and 412 likes and 2300 views, you are doing something right! Thanks for the video.
Hey Pete! Hopefully Billy works out for you. If not, maybe I can put him out on pasture with JJ's offspring to give him another chance. Hopefully you still have my contact info. Jennie and I would love to show you the progress we've made on our small farm since you were here last. If you're ever in the area, please feel free to stop in. We hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thank you! I am sorry that JJ did not work out for us. We enjoyed having him here.
I like Billy. He's a good boar. Hopefully, he can breed.
Love the farm animals and the pig giving his two cents on your work. Thank you for keeping it going. It's never boring. Oh and you're welcome, about shouting out to let you know the water fix worked. 😊. Perfect timing, as always.
Yo have accomplished a lot this year. The tractor storage looks like it is meeting your needs.
Thanks for the update Pete and Hillary , i love your farm , that sunset was epic :-) even the Canadian geese were a sound of home as im Canadian but living in America ,this year I didn’t see any geese pass over how strange but I saw yours and now im good . Thanks for your hard work :-)
Best farm channel out here no-show boating just a family of 4 showing it can be done with a lot of
hard work. And a lot of love for each other and there an animal great learning channel Thanks. 😃
It is funny how we worked so hard to get the high level education and obtained good paying jobs but what we really want is to just have a quiet corner of the world where we can grow our own food and enjoy a quiet life. At this point I am considering giving up the fancy cell phone and going back to the basic cell phone. I absolutely love your videos. So soothing for the soul. Thank you.
Same.
Oh no! Billy showed such promise too. Well good luck for some spring piglets.
Pete put up brushes like a push broom attached to a post for the cows and pigs. It's fun to see them enjoying a good scratch.
Hoping there is one more bbq chicken video before snow. I’m still trying to perfect the “Pete method”
Coffee and JAFAF. What could be a better start to the day? Have a great day Pete, Hillary and family. ❤
Pete I understand why it would be time for the pigs to leave, will miss them when they go. Enjoy watching the cows when they see you. Thank you for this video,I did enjoy watching all of the animals.
Enjoying your videos in the morning with fresh coffee is one of life’s simple pleasures. My Cocker Spaniel watches with me, and barks at the cows! Peace and joy to your family for this holiday season. 🦃❤️🍁
Over the years, I have come to respect your lifestyle. Zen and the art of farming.
Pete, that weedy area next to your fence line is a beautiful ecosystem, lots of wild flowers, I don’t think you should feel the need to cut all of that back, it’s a beneficial wildlife hedgerow if if ever seen one, something that is becoming rarer and rarer
"I hope you enjoyed this video." Yes, yes I did. Wholesome content, like the wholesome food you produce, as always.
Beautiful fall day there and I loved hearing the Canadian geese because I now live in Arizona.
A very comprehensive update! Fascinating how the farm changes season to season.
I'd be very curious to know what a farmer's diet is like, and whether that also changes across the year.
I am praying for success, your the reason why I started raising pigs!!!!!
We were hearing of record deer, car accidents here in the flatlands this year for October and also already for November.
That ending shot of the sunset was beautiful. Well done Peat.
Hey Pete - all your Canadian geese flew down here. I have a large farm pond adjacent to my property and they land here and drink fresh water and corn from the field. Good eating - then off they go! It's loud!! And thanks for that!!! Anyway good video, always like seeing the animals. Have a great week - see you soon!
Pete & Hillary love watching your Videos. God Bless your Farm & the animals. ❤
Hillary has a wonderful smile!
Hi Pete, thier actually called Canada Geese 😊
The barn reconfiguration is pretty sweet
I know a bent float valve thumb screw when I see one. Have a great day Pete, good farming!
Pete you have inspired me to breed my own pigs so far i have bought 3 females and looking for a boar but thank you for your insparation have a good rest of your day
Thanks for sharing your day!
I'm glad to see you showing a farm video! It's been awhile.
Definitely sad to see you walking away from pig production. But it's definitely alot of work and it's good you are starting to slow down and take it easier in the work load. It's a shame your kids don't want to help you out with the farm and take it over when you retire. Don't push yourself to hard. People will still watch your channel with or without pigs .
I enjoy seeing the fall season on the Farm and the changes, and even the squawking geese flying overhead.
Love your videos, you and Hillary are such a great couple and team farmers!:❤🎉❤🎉😊
It always makes my day when Just a Few Acres Farm posts a new video.
Nice visiting with the animals again. When you started adjusting the solar panels, I was wondering how they were lowering so smoothly. Then I saw it was Hilariepower! 😂
Nice to see you work with your animals pete sad to see no piglets on the way you do such a great job raising them its hard to hear you are done with pigs but im sure you have good reasons cattle look awesome by the way pete thank you for sharing blessings to you and your family
Pete, I always enjoy your videos! I'm not surprised to see the farm changing, as you have to remain relevant. I appreciate the visit with the farm animals, and I'm anxious to see what our maintenance project will be for the winter. All the best to you and your family.
Thank you for showing the geese. I love geese and truly appreciated hearing them again. I raised Sebastopol geese in my younger days. I still miss them.
I love your channel, Pete. It brings back a lot of good memories for me.
Nice update on the critters. Can't blame you on leaning toward buying feeder pigs to supply your pork needs. Breeding stock is a year-round chore. No sense beating a dead horse if their performance isn't up to your expectations. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving and some R&R as things wind down for the season.
How satisfying. What a pleasure to just walk around with you and Hilary on the farm doing your usual thing. It made my day. Thank you so much. I have been missing this.
I enjoy the shop but there is nothing like getting out with the animals. Thank you again for sharing
Farrowing is labor intensive, I don't blame you for letting someone else hassle with that. Great content, reminds me of the 160 share cropped acre farm I was raised on. Good luck.
Great update!
Great video. Can’t wait to see the winter project.
I like the variety, farm animals and tractor/mechanical projects. I'm a bit partial to your Farmall projects...always learning something new. 😊
Hi from Canada, Pete & Hilary. I enjoy you teasing us about our Canada Geese and our Metric system. Just too funny. BTW we aren't allowed to shoot Canada Geese here but you can. They are big birds & quite tasty.
Thanks Pete 😊
Thank You Pete and Hillary!
I enjoyed this video. I hate the the fencing people didn’t come through for you. Thanks for the update the pigs and cows. Looking forward to go through the winter with you and Hillary The various projects that you have going on. I’m always excited to see what you are doing. I think the Lord you take the time to tell us about each part of the repairing of your equipment and the development of your cows and chickens..
Yeh a lot of farming channels do it themselves but I think they live in the south which has less rocky dirt than up here
Yep, enjoyed the video. I needed that.😊
Billy and Bossy pig are so friendly because you loved on them so much when they were young. I hope they manage to get business taken care of this winter. I love seeing the animals.
Thanks for sharing Pete
Been waiting for this video
Great video. Glad to see all the critters getting ready for winter.
Pete, it is always great having a visit with you folks. Thanks for catching us up on what's been going on. Hope to see you real soon!
Great vids as always. Keep them coming..
Another great video as always Pete!
When farming you have to do what's best for you. I appreciate all farmers and the hard work that is put into farming. I grew up a farmers daughter I remember the hard work, and the rewards from it. God bless you both. Love watching your videos.
As always Pete. Thanks for sharing all this with us.
Look forward to a video. What a magnificent Sunset.
Thanks for sharing Pete.
Thank you!
Great farm update
Thanks Pete!!
Thanks Pete, enjoyed the video.
Great video as always Pete
You missed out on an excellent opportunity to channel Clint Eastwood. "Blew that float valve CLEAN off."
What a beautiful shot to end the video! Can’t wait for your winter restorations- always so informative!!
Everything went smoothly with the supervisor around 😂
Thanks for all you do...
Always a pleasure Pete.
Great video Pete! Thanks for sharing!
Great video Pete, can’t wait to see the next restoration.😊
Thanks for sharing the video Pete.
