LG phones are still amazing, the LG V60 dual screen, Velvet Dual screen , G8X dual screen, LG Wing ect. Still all amazing phones in 2023 and going into 2024👏🏼👍🏼.
I have the LG Velvet in October 2023, I love my Velvet, I'm finding the battery seems to drain faster now and I find that it's slow. I'm sad that LG stopped making phones!
I bought an LG Velvet 5G Snapdragon a couple of weeks ago. For a mid range phone from 2020 it's amazing. I love it, and would buy it again in a heartbeat. The screen is nice, it's fast, and responsive. Also for a 3 year old refurbished phone the battery life is great. I use it off, and on all day and it still has 80 percent at the end. Oh and I fully upgraded the phone, and put android 13 on it as well the day I got it. Works great.
Unfortunately the mic quit working on this phone. I will have to send it back. Unfortunately because I love this phone otherwise. Will probably be buying a Oneplus Nord CE 2 5G to replace it.

Watching from my LG Velvet. You can buy this phone second hand for $100-$150 USD now. Compared to all budget/Chinese phones in this price range, its hard to find better value. I use my Velvet as a secondary device for media consumption and the screen is beautiful for it. Just dont expect the Velvet to compete with flagships. Edit: i got Android 13 update a few months ago now.
I just bought mine yesterday privately ibut brand new for a hundred bucks with all the accessories, struggling to get things as I wish but it shows promise Can't get it to go to the Google keyboard all the time nor can I get the clock accurate it shows 6 hours off, nor have I been able to update past Android 11 Excited about figuring out apps on one giant screen and getting search bars installed going to look into different launchers, been using the brave browser for a while and I like it because I can TH-cam with the screen dark,

At least the phone will still in my family, since i gave it to my grandmother as a gift. I was comparing the display of the S24 Ultra with the display of the LG velvet, and belive or not the Lg Velvet looks way more better, with more vivid colors.
I still have mine from 2021 and it is my backup phone. It still works flawlessly and is a beautiful device. The audio is very good and it is more than fast enough for my needs. The camera is serviceable, albeit far from premium and the battery life is still long. I have a version made for Canada. I still love it
Just brought this phone for $117. I will be pairing it with an andriod controller. For retro gaming and Xbox game pass. 3.5mm jack and micro sd slot, 620 adreno. It was a no-brainer.
LG velvet 5G even though without any 90 hz or 120 hz refresh rate or any LTPO adaptive screen, i still love what its capable of especially audio bokeh on its video recording feature and i thought it still awesome. I have bought Korean's secondhand set from Ali Express and already use it for about more than 1 year now and it still works and functioning well like a charm with Android 13 updates. No complain.
@@RealWorldReview It will take about 20% off your battery life. That's not insignificant to most people. Which also reduces the overall life of the battery due to more cycling. And I would bet that most people couldn't tell the difference in a blind test.

The Zenfone 9 has an Auto or 120hz mode (as well as 90 and 60) and 120hz locked sips the battery with AOD, but Auto is what gives you good battery life, and drops to 60 when there’s a static image or an app that doesn’t use 120 like TH-cam. Even reviewing the S20 and I used it with 1080p 120hz and changed it to 60hz cause battery life sucked. The result was no difference

Diehard LG user since their first smartphone in like 2010. Bought my Velvet in December 2021. Considering moving on now. The phone is great for what it was but it's starting to show it's age. The battery is failing and I have to restart the phone every few days and clear caches. The camera is also not that great. I was tasked with taking pics at my sister's wedding and they turned out horrible even with the maximum settings. I felt so bad that her once in a life event will be remembered through pics worse than a Polaroid from the 80s. I have the unlocked 5G version that uses AT&T towers and I got the Android 13 update last month. Edit: also this curved screen. Hate it so much. My fat fingers overlap the frame and close stuff all the time
Call us variants of this phone get updated Android 13 along with the LG wing you are right about one thing soon as you put this out you are going to get comments about that I have the AT&T version and I have AT&T version and I have gotten the update a month ago but you have to have active service on AT&T in order to get the update

I hate how everytime I unlock this phone using the in-display fingerprint scanner, the screen goes black except for the fingerprint icon. Idk why it bothers me but it does 😅
ive had a velvet for the past couple years.... its terrible on paper it looks much better then it is. Its slow and glitchy. its slippery without a case. you will drop it. enjoy picking from like 3 cases. they dont make phones anymore so no upgrades... stay away from a velvet I hate this phone Ive never hated a phone. weird shaped screen makes the glass protecter things not fit on it right and fall off. crap
Went back to this after I sold my iPhone 14. I love this phone. It is one of the most beautiful phones ever made.

120hz is stupid on a screen that size. Complete waste of battery for a difference no one would notice.
