- Christmas is a time for stories - at Boo Hewerdine's Christmas show, Graham Fellows relates the tale of punk rocker Jilted John to Boo and the terrible injustice of Gordon stealing his girlfriend Julie in 1978 - just 'cos Gordon was better looking, cool and trendy :(

I agree. Alot of the John Shuttleworths experiences are in a word hilarious. I think as you get older you can appreciate this guys humour even more.

An utterly stupendous ditty!
Whenever this is played at a night club, the whole audience sings with full-throated conviction that GORDON IS A MORON!!. A night club crowd rarely sings along to any track, but they do to this one - AND! louder than to any other song.
Nobody's ever heard Gordon's side of the story and yet!! the audience are ALWAYS vehemently & resolutely united on this issue, that Gordon is indisputably a moron - even though he (presumably) never even existed.

I remember that World Cup Meat Pies (sausage rolls, come on England give us a goal!) and it DID sound very Fellows-esque. Pretty sure it wasn't Graham though.

I actually think it was jilted john that popularized the word moron in the 70s because I had not really heard of it then when I was kid :)
True - there was an older kid in our school called Gordon who committed suicide because of constantly being called a moron, and I never understood what they were talking about as I was too young.
