Hi Peter Thank you so much for a wonderful day and of course the breathtaking Juniper you really are an inspiration to us all . To see the tree I made in your fantastic bonsai nursery is such an honour…
Excellent video. Being a fabricator welder by trade I know exactly how much work and patience goes into producing one of those sculptures. You were entirely right in removing and jining those branches Peter. A very majestic tree.
Hi Peter I am sitting here wondering where I start commenting on your work on Juniper Squamata. So all I am going to say is amazing work and to see David’s metal work is a bonus, to watch two experts in their individual skills come together is inspirational, in the 90s I had a small business making individual trees using wire gemstones and crystals also driftwood and silk leaves to create bonsai styles at that time I made and sold hundreds a pity we didn’t have TH-cam I would have learnt a lot from bonsai artists such as your self in order to create trees of outstanding designs. I am too old to create them now my hands don’t work so well, which is sad and I have none left when I moved house they all went. We take these videos you and other artists make for granted now, when I started in bonsai over 30 years ago the only reference we could acquire was from books by yourself and other bonsai artists which is not the same as seeing your work live on TH-cam. Long May you continue in good health to make these videos.
Joe - thanks for sharing your thoughts. Would love to see some of your gemstone bonsai creations. Hope you continue making them and you are certainly not too old to do anything . Keep doing what you love - Stay Blessed.
@HeronsBonsai, could you do a video on _Thread Grafting Bonsai?_ I recently heard about it, and I'm curious about your thoughts as well as techniques on it. 👍👍
I’m sure David is going to get a lot of interest… metal trees CAN be imported into the US, unlike live trees sadly. Please let me know if he is willing to consider a commission. Thanks, and always look forward to your videos Peter!
I think once he bleaches the jins it will be so close to the Taiwanese trees especially for a tree grown in the UK I recently got Fukien tea bonsai as a present and looking for tips on them as the branches are very brittle I know I won't be doing much with it for at least the next year as it looks like it was potted just before the nursery got it in
This is a serious question. Can you recommend something that will do well indoors beneath which will be buried the bodies of my former pet mice? I want to keep my sweet babies near me for years to come. I'm not going to have pet mice anymore because the constant heartache of their short lives is no longer bearable. Currently they are resting in a small freezer that I got just for them. I want to give them a permanent home beneath a beautiful plant.
Hi..Peter...id like to add a sculptured bonzai to my collection....cos I think...it's mind blowing....can I have...maybe an email address..so I can purchase a metal bonzai....just think it's cool...thanks for being an inspiration...
That 'just a farmer' is possibly the most underrated artist of the century 😯 what incredible work
I've seen many beautiful metal "twisted wire bonsai" but that's the first time I've seen a welded bonsai, what an artist!

Is David selling the metal tree sculptures? If so where can I buy one?

What happened to a video of a neglected maple that you pruned and air layered ?
Unable to find it and finish watching it .
Uploaded maybe Last week.
