i have my exam tomorrow. I took it and passed it in 2016. I didn't renew it the second time I should've so now I have to take the exam again. I am so nervous, It's been years since I did anything with my certification and I feel like there's a lot I don't remember.

I just passed my CMA (AAMA) exam yesterday! I incorporated your videos into my study plan which helped me so much. It was great to have studying video’s and not just the three exam prep books I used that I could watch and listen too. I’ve done nothing but work,eat and study for twelve weeks.

Thank you Ms. K because of your videos I passed my CCMA NHA exam on the first try. I must say that the NHA practice test are somewhat different from the test so it is important to know your stuff. But as I was taking the test I heard your voice saying read the questions carefully and to do process of elimination. There were a few questions I didn’t know but with process of elimination I was able to narrow it down to two possible answers

@@sonyamiller6743 I primarily used the NHA study guide alongside my CCMA textbook. There are some Quizlet sets out there that help cover the different types of questions you'd see on the exam. If you don't know why an answer is what it is, then Google can help if you don't have access to the study guide or an up to date textbook. The majority of the test was taken from EKG and phlebotomy. Knowing some pharmacology, infection control, patient prep and identification, some medical law, patient positioning, anatomy and physiology, and a few others is helpful. I apologize if this isn't helpful

Hi🎉 thank you for the videos! For the math questions i remembered 1 kg = 2.2lbs. Then I estimated and convert 176lb to 87-89kg by simply dividing by two. I chose the A.79g response because it was closest to estimate. We also didn’t have to any further conversions since 1g/kg. EASY

@@20vannesa No do not give up. You are correct in saying these exact questions are not on the test. This is why I reiterate studying the content and not the question. Please don't write down or study the questions. If anything, you should write down the info displayed under each answer option, even the wrong ones. People pass by making sure they know what each of those options under each question means. For example, if the question is which of the following is characterized by loss of consciousness and you see syncope, seizure, stroke, and MI listed, and you choose the correct answer syncope... you should also make sure you know and write down the definitions of seizure, stroke, and MI because if they are options that means you may see them on the test. The questions are irrelevant if you know the content.

have not taken mine yet July 31 wish me luck . and for those who struggle with the EKG and the leads I used chatGPT to make baby song so I just sang the song like the wheels on the bus tune . I had to keep singing until I had a good flow. it works for me. I remember it just by singing the song and I just sing it around the house.

I am taking my ccma on 06/24. I have been a medical assistant for seven years in pediatrics, geriatrics, family med. I graduated in 2015 with a 454 on the ccma, but I am a nervous wreck. thanks for the videos!
I understand! The same thing happened to me lol… I was working in the field and never recertified until I had to. You will be fine because a lot of the questions are scenario questions. And you can get the study guide/practice tests off ofnhanow.com
My final was taking the information Ms. K gave us and applying it in a working environment. 180 questions of which 30 were thrown out.

Yes the questions are different on the actual test. So one of the things I encourage everyone to do is to go through the NHA study guide in its entirety and make sure you know the information and don’t look for the practice test questions. What areas do you fall short in the most? Those are the areas you really want to hone in on before you test again. Each test is different so it’s hard to say what you need to focus on but I always tell people to make sure you have these things as a foundation- Medical terminology; EKG placement; normal ranges for routine blood work like glucose, potassium, hematocrit, hemoglobin; order of draw and what additive is in each tube; know your normal ranges for pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; know which organ is in which abdominal quadrant; make sure you know each appointment type; know the difference between diagnosis codes and CPT codes; know common abbreviations like CXR, PT, PTT, CBC, CC, C/O, BP, etc; know how to convert feet to inches and vice versa, centimeters to inches and vice versa, pounds to kilograms and vice versa, Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa; how many mL are in a Tsp and Tbsp. Know what IS and is NOT within your scope as an MA. OSHA; HIPAA; administrative process for checking the patient in and out; EOB; COB; birthday rule; AOB; NPP. There is so much more but these are some of the foundational things. I hope this helps :)
Btw, Im gonna try to go live tomorrow night for CMAA practice. And some of that administrative information will be helpful to you for the administrative questions you’ll see on the test.
