@@20vannesa Depends on which test you're taking. You want to study the material for that exam. If your school doesn't provide it for you, you'll have to buy it for the test you're taking.

@@MedicalAssistingwithMsK Hi Ms. Kay!! I started doing a online medical terminology course in February 2022 and then I did a Clinical Medical Assistant Course around April that I finished last month. I have been studying for the past 2 weeks or so for the NHA CCMA and today I got a 83% on the practice exam! I’m hoping to get a higher score on the next practice exam I take
@@beatriceines3456 Great job… 80% is what we usually look for on a student’s practice test to let us know that that student is ready to take the actual exam. I hope your score goes up with the next one, that’s the goal. Before you take your next practice test, go back to the study guide to study the areas you fell short in on that last practice test. There should be an option that says “focused review“. Let me know what your next score is :)

Also Ms. Kay, is there a list of common medications and common diseases we should know?
As far as diseases, that’s a hard one because they may mention anything. I know you wanna make sure you can recognize the differences between a fungal infection like yeast, a parasitic infection like lice or bacterial infections like a UTI. As far as medications, make sure you know what an analgesic is, a decongestant, an antihistamine, beta blocker, anti pyretic… hmmm 🤔 I know there’s more but I can’t think of them right now. This is why it’s so important to have the study guide because it’ll tell you what you need to know
Oh, and make sure you can name some medication examples in each Schedule of drugs.

I was told that alot of these questions are not on the exam. My anxiety is through the roof. I take my exam this Friday.
That’s correct. This is why I always say focus on the information and not the question itself. The exact questions won’t be on the exam, but all the same information will.

I hate studying cause i took the CNA test 3 times and studied every day and the things i studied was not even close on the test. So ive been stressing out, ive watched all of your videos and I have done the NHA practice test, but I still feel like non of the questions will be on there.

If you were to ask the rheumatologist i worked for a patient with Fibromyalgia should be referred to a psychiatrist not him.
i graduated in 2019- it been 5 years is there a time frame i never took my test
Hey! It’s usually best to take it right away. But since you didn’t, it’s never too late. Most companies are requiring it now.

Hi, yes if your school allows. Some schools do the certification before and some wait until after. My school does both. So I would ask your school. If you are not taking it through your school, then you may have to wait. You can always check NHA’s guidelines to verify that.
