Always use good quality phono cables. Nice record player. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, do you know the gauge of the 2nd cables you used?

What type of RCA cable did you end up using? Do you recommend any in particular. I'm looking to replace the ones in my Technics Sl-1300 MK2. I have done some searching, but everybody seems to buy the cheapest they can find. I saw some post that recommend using one with low impedance.

I typically use what I have available and try to match the original cable...if I buy new, I but Monster RCA to 3.5mm adapter cables.

Do you know if the tone arm plastic clip is glued on or screwed on?

That tonearm has NO dampening. Either it's assembled wrong or the previous owner used sewing machine oil or something instead of 500.000cst silicone oil

Excellent observation - stay tuned for a video on damping the tonearm on the SL 1300.

@@millervintagehifi3034 There's a great video by the Turntable Guy where he's fixing that cueing damping issue which seems to be common for sl-1300, 1400 and 1500 models.

@@millervintagehifi3034 Do you have to unsolder the tone arm wires to fix the damping on a sl 1300?

@@bignasty3513 Look for the video referenced in the reply above - apparently I never did a follow up on this 1300 from last year.
