    Excellent Video, I have watched so many people back peddle and fall over their feet fall down, and get hurt, if you cannot get to the ball let it go and play another point. I have been using the left arm for me as you have shown and it does improve your accuracy! Well done as usual!

    Great drill and video. Only suggestion I have is to put tape across the wall where the net would be. One challenge when in the mid-court is hitting it too low and into the net. It's a visual aid for being sure to clear the net.

    If there are badminton player out there, you can use your badminton smash or jump smash. It works for me, especially on lob.

    Love all these videos, but if you slow it down and play the hit you're showing us in slow motion we can actually see the position of your paddle and the way you actually hit the ball

    For overhead smashes that are right at the kitchen instead of the transition zone, do you also contact around 11 o'clock or more closed at like 10 or 1030?

    • @BrionesPickleball
      @BrionesPickleball  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You will adjust the point of contact by your position on the court, yes

  • @oppsouls

    I liked your videos in general. But for this, what people fail the most is the part how the racket should hit the ball so that it won’t go off court, that you didn’t mention. Wished you had that in the video.

    Funny, at 2:24, your use of the clock. Here, north of the border, your “11” is our “1”, and vis versa. Must be a metric system thing. ;-)

    As a former nationally rank tennis play(quite a while ago).
    You do NOT want off hand pointing to the ball.
    In pickleball,how do you hit high back volley? The opposite of the over head SMASH!
    All your videos are great. Thanks.

    • @BrionesPickleball
      @BrionesPickleball  ปีที่แล้ว

      As a former tennis player that watches lots of professional pickleball and professional ATP players play, lots of them “point” towards the ball. Lol.

      Backhand smash is totally different.

    • @YebsigYitey
      @YebsigYitey ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I humbly disagree. Also a former tennis player I used this on my serves and smashes. I have completely forgot about doing this in PB and will certainly add this to my game.

      @Briones Pickleball My tennis coach called it the "trophy pose". Nice video, your footwork is so solid.
      My two common errors are taking my eyes off the ball to see where opponents are and hitting deep. My cure has been focus on watching ball before, during contact and especially extenuating my pronation.
      I am also surprised you don't talk about using crossover footwork. I heard this is quicker way to move to the ball, not sure if you would agree. Seems like drop step and getting closed to the net is your focus?

    Great video, as always. But can you please try not to say "ok" at the end of every sentence? It's really distracting.
