They do! Some of the Dreamborn cards blurs this line a lot, and feels a little bit "forced" at times. But I think if we really compare 1:1 to cannon, we kind of can see the difference. But it's hard at times. ^^
Disney's stock characters blur the line anyways. In some movies they appear entirely as themselves, while in others they function more like actors playing a role. The way I see it, these "acting" appearances were all classified as Dreamborn.
My own head cannon for Mickey Mouse would have been Mickey Mouse standard bearer - storyborn Mickey Mouse playful sorcerer - dreamborn Mickey Mouse wayward sorcerer - floodborn I say that because the progression would make sense, Mickey was a normal mouse then a playful sorcerer then the wayward sorcerer. Also in the Fantasia movie Mickey “ Dreams “ of him being a powerful sorcerer. So Dreamborn would make sense in my head cannon lol. Love the video, I get so excited when I see you guys upload

@@InkbornHeroes if you look on the rip tide card from the deep trouble illumineers quest, you can see on the card Mickey Mouse the standard bearer just floating back there and in the art for the playful sorcerer he’s surrounded by rocks and water. So I think in the time like the standard bearer is the Mickey for steel that turns into the sorcerer

I am actually curious to see if Lorcana Year 2 will introduce more as well. We have a FULLLLL video about Entangled glimmers. 😅 I wanted to stick to the ones that are “common” among the cards players come across in every match. While Entangled is more of a narrative wrapper for the Illumineer’s Quest specifically! ^^
Okay, these all make sense but can someone explain to me why Megara Captivating Cynic is a dreamborn? She looks identical to her iteration in the film and has no unique features that would suggest she is different in any way.
This is indeed a VERY HARD one to explain. I promise that I even spent some time doing some research to see if I could find an answer for this one. I can only think on two things: 1. They simply didn't "follow" their own rules that much for this card, as it isn't enough to justify as a Dreamborn; OR 2. As "Ursula - Deceiver of All", perhaps this card was printed with the wrong classification, and it was supposed to be a "Storyborn". But given that it isn't a big card, as much as ursula, neither the community or Ravensburger made a statement about it.
