- What are Disney Lorcana's Floodborn and how are they different from Storyborn and Dreamborn glimmers? As we get ready for the latest Lorcana set - Rise of the Floodborn - it's important to understand what sets these glimmers apart. It's not the degree of difference - it's how the glimmers are created.

If there’s something I love more than Lorcana content it’s Lorcana’s lore. That was a pun.
Liam maintains that puns are the highest form of humor. 🎩😊
Hercules God form is what I want to see is a Floodborn character
Yeeeeessssssss!!!!
Ooooh I love that idea!
Smooth explanation, thanks
Glad it was helpful! It’s definitely one of the more confusing parts of the lore.
I would love to see card art that combines Disney characters from other universes together. Perhaps we could see very unique/bizarre interactions, such as card art with Maleficent and Winnie the Pooh meeting each other. Or perhaps we could have a special Halloween set with characters wearing costumes based on other characters outside their worlds. Or maybe we could see a set where the heroes turn evil. There are so many different possibilities.
Love this idea. Honestly, because dream born are based on an Illumineer’s imagination, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them do something like this. It’s easy to imagine an Illumineer imagining what Winnie the Pooh would be like as Darth Vader. Or something like that!
@@Illumiteers Exactly!
@@Illumiteers born of ink what will happen use paint instead of ink?
You explained it SO well. Thank you! Getting my girlfriend into the game and she is new to this kind of game. The back story is really helpful. Keep up the great work! 😊
Oh, thanks so much! Part of our mission is to make the game accessible to new TCG players. Glad it helped!
Cinderella's charming, lovely step-sisters. Aristocat Marie as a ninja, or something fierce ("ladies don't start fights, but they can finish them").
We. Love. The. Marie. Idea.
I mean, Marie is just adorable anyway. But also fierce. This is just perfect.
I want Stitch with a Baby Yoda costume on.
I have to say, I love the Floodborn cards! Seriously, it's really fun to see alternative versions of the Disney Characters we all know. That's one of the reasons I'm fan of Disney Mirrorverse too.
I have seen some of the incoming cards of Chapter 2, and it has very interesting ideas, like Cinderella turned into a knight. (I think this idea could work in Disney Mirrorverse too).
I have three wishing concepts that I would love to see in the cards at some point:
- Alice becoming the Queen of Hearts, ruler of Wonderland. (She created Wonderland with her dream, so she should rule it).
- Megara turned into a kind of "amazonian warrior", being strong in character AND body.
- Anna being the one who was born with powers, and Elsa the one who was human.
But at the end of frozen 2 Elsa was revealed to be the fifth spirit, so Elsa spirit of winter should maybe be storyborn. So dreamborn are alternate possibilities, floodborn are completely different from there story. Also there are those Micky games where Mickey is a sorcerer, so how is that an alternate possibility if it actually happens.
Good point on Elsa. But, what they are has to do purely with how the Glimmer is created in the world of Lorcana. Storyborn is purely based on the cannon from the specific Story Star being used. Dreamborn is the Illumineer putting their spin on it. Floodborn are born from the flood.
So, an Illumineer could be using the story star of Frozen One, and apply a bit of their imaginative spin on a character, and make Elsa - Spirit of Winter. In that way, a cannon character may even be a Dreamborn if the Illumineer spins a specific story star based on what they know of other properties.
So, for example, someone could take a Mickey Star, think of Kingdom Hearts, and make a Dreamborn KH Mickey. Even though it’s technically canon.
Not sure if that all made sense! 😅
Ratatouille as a human chef 😭 🙏
Omg, yes please!!!!
Would love to see Mulan as a god of Olympus or Hercules in China somehow combing my two favorite Disney movies.
