I've been watching Kristian for years in ITU and knew he was different right from the start. And what he has proven in race results in the last couple of years has been amazing - ITU Worlds, Olympic Gold, IM World Champ....! I wish I had Olav training me! Good luck tomorrow, Kristian. We will be watching!!
There is not a single superstitious/religious bone in my body. That said, Kona has been extraordinarily/surprisingly hard on athletes. The list of world champions (other distances) failing there is long. (External influences): the conditions, pressure-to-perform and race dynamics have made it a unique race. It seems from history that personal experience counts for much. If Blu (or any of the other "youngsters") smash race day, it will really mean "a new era"; the first since Mark & Dave days. All the other improvements can be linked with technology improvements. Now its about seeing if the human performance optimization is sizable enough as to see it clearly in the numbers. I hope for it, but I'm skeptical.
@@KraKra-92 why? the record was broken by several other guys as well. It could just be the weather. If the weather was bad and the times slow, then we would not have this discussion. To take 12nin off - over 7:40 hours - which is a small margin - on a windless day - how to know if the performance is better?

Not sure if he has been injured. Let’s see what happens w an injury and how he responds. V tough guy it seems. Built like a bull not like a lean triathlete
FACT check issues. In addition to KONA not being the birthplace of Ironman - A glider is not the most aerodynamic thing made by man. Aerodynamics of a given object depends on the speed which it will be travelling. A glider me be most aero at one speed - but a fighter jet is more aero at a faster speed etc. FACTS are important!

I love him ! Can't wait to see him perform

Rooting for Kristian. He is simply the best. Win or loose. No fear.
Very impressive! A scientist coach plus 2 gifted triathletes made a magic together.
Love Blu's confidence.
Really impressive video. This is what true professionalism looks like in triathlon
Love how the guy they didn’t hype up but was just there in the video won yesterday
well that guy still has the same coach, just not the same bike sponsor who made this video :D
Bu and Blu, the dynamic duo only rival but Blu and Iden.
Good luck team Norway and Kristian this weekend! Focus and have fun.

So interesting that Gus was always in his shadow, but now it is also his time to shine. Great Band of Brothers the Norwegians!
Kind of what I also thought - very interesting the focus of the persons. All three and their team behind are doing such a great job together.
Kristian got me serious about triathlons, I cant wait for tomorrow!
Trust is everything! Bring on the race record!
Great video

Metabolic over power and speed , wooow.
11.48 the smile 🤣
Can’t wait to watch blu and Iden battle it out and Magnus as well
11:26 what swimming glasses is he using? or goggle in English? idk
Its a prototype, so he can see his pace and heart rate I think. So you cant buy it.
10! 💪👊
Now that's a statement. Wonder what the other pros watching this before Saturday are thinking?
Lionel has definitely watched this a few times and hasn’t talked since

That guy is a serious machine. Kona is not the birthplace of triathlon both Kristian and his coach are mistaken

what modesty !!!
thick dude can't imagine carrying all that weight around for that long......fun to see tomorrow!
I know! When I saw him for the very first time I said: he is like a little Tank.

His body fat? He looks heavy
He has a large torso… which means large lungs and more power to push
@@nimbra2 yes he does. Maybe it is big boned is all, but he looks like he has a belly too. Not sure. I need to see w o shirt
