Would be the worst decision ever of the megalomaniac mouse in the Kremlin. We must see the economic, technological and military “power” of Russia in perspective. Russia is indeed a huge country in square km, but only has (a declining) 144 million inhabitants (Mexico 128 million, Japan 123 million, Indonesia 270 million). This is about 30% of USA or Eurozone. The GDP of Russia however is only 4% of the GDP of the Eurozone + USA, this is equal to the GDP of the small countries Belgium + Netherlands + Luxembourg. And less than the GDP of the state of California. Relatively (per capita) the GDP of Russia is very low. Beside that the economy of Russia has signs of a 3th world economy. Half of the income is coming from oil & gas. Based on this, Russia isn’t a world power. And for sure, it isn’t a economic power. This is the reason they can’t build up and maintain a big army. The army they have is far beyond normal proportions in relation to their GDP. This hurts their budgets and prosperity permanently. In this perspective, Russia is a mouse with a huge superiority complex and dangerous megalomaniac dreams. The path the mouse chose will be its downfall.

Everyone always thinks bad things happen to others. Or they try to rationalise the horrible actions by assuming that the victim played some part in the actions of the perpetrators. That is was within their control and that it was because of something they did odid not do.
They cannot accept that some actions are irrational and that the perpetrator is the problem. Instead they make these excuses for the perpetrators because they hope that they limit their barbarity to others and that they are spared. Such barbarity gone unanswered feeds the perpetrators and gives them confidence . It reassures them that they are in the right path and even cements their idea of superiority because what is a person or group or nation that does not have the courage and strength to oppose such egregious acts.

Not only has this not happened, they are taking losses at a rate that would have had any other country that values its soldiers to pull out. No not Russia, a life is worth very little there. If NATO wishes to remain credible and assure that Ukraine maintains its independence then they must offer Ukraine immediate membership coupled with an immediate call for a ceasefire and the opening of negotiations. Since Putin made clear that he will not be returning any Ukrainian territory currently occupied then NATO must make clear that the remainder of Ukraine is not up for grabs. The sooner this is realized the sooner this war can be brought to an end.

Actually, the United States and western allies offered President Zelenskyy safe passage out of Ukraine, because the Russians surely would've executed him. Zelenskyy declined their offer and told them: "The fight is here. I need ammunition, not a ride. I am here. We are not putting down arms. We will be defending our country, because our weapon is truth, and our truth is that this is our land, our country, our children, and we will defend all of this." - President Zelenskyy 💪
