Nah man you don’t understand the excitement I get when I see people like this win these big prestigious awards…it reminds those that come from nothing really and truly can achieve what we want…it might be harder but it can happen SO PROUD of these boys well done lads!!!

First time I saw Zuu he went to the Zoo (no puns n that) with Snoochie Shy on fuckin radar radio. Now he’s a double bafta winner. Literally buzzin for him, he deserves it🤙🏻

This DIMINISHES the BAFTAS
No problem with Zuhair Hassan. Seems an exhuberant nice guy. OK, he may shout louder than Brian Blessed (all of the time), and he may make sound (Yes that is a deliberate word) food (like the bazillions of other food show presenters). But does he really cut the mustard?
Energy? Tick (but my AA battery and dog have energy)
Character? Tick (but so has my dog - my clock goes 'tock')
Interesting food? Tick. But in 15 minutes walk I could get equivalent (debateable?) at a local eatery.
Different food? Tick. But see above.
PROBLEMS?
Food programmes are an over-crowded area. Zuu will find it difficult to shoe-horn his way into this overcrowded (and probably boring?) over-crammed zone of TV for the idle/zonked-out/can't be bothered/will never experiment with - this populace (Yes I fall into at least one of those categories -I am vaguely interested in sky-diving, and will idly watch it on TV, but it is highly unlikely that I will ever do it ). Yet another food programme shows the lack of imagination of those that commision contemporary TV.
Stop shouting at me please! I go to work to be shouted at - I don't like being shouted at in my own front room.
Comedians? Well, the dragooning of past-it, never-to-be, unknown, or just plain greedy (I know its a dismal show but if I turn up, it might just pay for my new conservatory or bathroom re-modelling). It has all been done before. (How tiresome)
There are actors/actresses that have punched their tripe out, night after night in Working Men's Clubs, provincial theatres and even unappreciative audiences in the West End. And despite their endeavours and excellence, they wouldn't even get a sniff at a BAFTA.
And here we have a guy that has not 'paid his dues' by defending the trenches, but yells loud and accomplishes something a little above average.
Zuhair Hassan, I wish you all the best for the future. But IMHO the fuse has burned out and the rocket has failed to lift. To get one BAFTA may be construed as a mistake. To gain two is an affront to the rest of the industry. Don't get above yourself!
