    On apple carplay can you make it full screen because on carplay the screen is very small

  • @Psymeister

    In Australia the centre console USB is just for charging. It connects to airplay but then has issues (freezing, etc) Spoke to dealer and they said centre console USB not designed for CarPlay connection

    After you hook up Apple Play do you need to physically connect it anytime you want to access the icons on your iPhone or does it then work wirelessly. I assume that the bluetooth connect sets it up just for the phone to be used with the truck.

    Question about Uconnect & SiriusXM: Has anyone figured out how to get the Favorites Song/Artist Selection to work consistently? It will work sometimes, but then other times when the notification comes up and you switch over to the favorites screen it will be blank, but if you search around you might find one of your favorites songs/artists currently playing (Along with the solid white star, signifying it's in your Favorites list. This has been a reported problem on the Jeep forums for several YEARS (Haven't searched others forums)!!!! Updates to the software have reportedly not resolved the issues. There have been promises from JeepCares, but no resolution from either JeepCares, SiriusXM or FCA. Also, side note, sometimes the backup screen freezes, or the head unit will just reboot on it's own.

    Nice video but I have a quick question. How does one remove / hide an icon as seen at 3:15
    Example: On the left vertical stacked icon side you have the Google Maps, Music and Phone. Where do I go in setings if I wanted to remove just the music icon and leave the maps and phone icon?

    I just went to a 2020 Cherokee after owning a 2015 Cherokee. I wonder why they took the "themes" display option out of the 8.4 UConnect radio in the 2020s.

    Thanks for the info! I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to receive a phone call on the actual phone and stay connected to the Uconnect and still he able to listen to like the regular radio or SiriusXM? I have to completely disconnect my Bluetooth even if I’m not listening to music from my iPhone in order to talk on the phone and be able to hear my music. Is there a trick?

    My car screen is totally different, mine is Wrangler 2020, 2 doors. the same screen size but the set up is different, options are in the sides not on the bottom. And I have manual buttons in both right and left sides. I can get everything on the screen I just can’t access to the google map/ navigation on the screen. I even used the aux cord but still doesn’t work.

      @@GGxri in another video about connecting up Apple phone, you have to use a Apple cable. Not some other generic cable that claims to be Apple compatible. Otherwise connection is erratic or no go.

    Thanks for the great video! I just upgraded from a 5'' to a 7'' on my jeep willys sport. question, do I always have to be hard wired to the usb port, or can I hook up to apple car play via bluetooth? thank you.

      I have a 2022 Charger Scatcat with Uconnect4 and have to be hard wired to run my Android Auto. The newer Jeep/Ram/Dodge models which have Uconnect5 may let you go wireless. But, trust me, you don't want that Uconnect5. We just got rid of a 2023 Grand Cherokee L that had it after only owning it for 6 months. It was the biggest PITA ever. Stay with Uconnect4 if you can.

    @3:15 how did you get your screen to display iPhone apps??? I have a 2018 Sahara and it looks nothing like that 😭

    • @mishelkaufman2861
      @mishelkaufman2861 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your car has to have Apple Play to display the iPhone apps. UConnect by itself does not enable those features.

    How many phones can you connect over Bluetooth?....my jeep wrangler doesn't let me connect another phone. Also my android car play was working fine and now when I plug it in it says Device Not Supported any idea why?

    • @JohnHammer
      @JohnHammer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be able to have multiple bluetooth phones memorized in the UConnect system but only one active bluetooth connection can be made at a time. You might want to reset your Uconnect system if it is not recognizing a compatible device for Android Auto, and also try using a different cable to connect your device to see if that's the issue.

    Any Jeep enthusiasts?? The heat in my jeep seems completely schizophrenic. Anyone else have this problem? I put it up to 20 degrees. It blows ice cold for 15 mins and then gradually starts to warm up. Then the "Heat" goes to like furnace hot. It says 20 degrees but i swear the indicated temperature has no bearing on how hot it actually is. I personally think the indicated heat is just a bullshit LED designed to make you think its warming up. It has nothing to do with the ACTUAL temperature coming out because I put my hand on the vent and it is ROASTING HOT. I then turn the temperature down and the "Heat" goes ICE COLD all over again. It cycles back and forth between ROASTING HOT or ICE COLD. There is no happy medium. I've given up on it.
