    Great tutorial, it's good to see you care about organizing your node tree and it makes it a lot easier to understand!

    This is is by far the best tutorial I have watched on blender, I need to make on cherry tree for some project and it was so easy with this videos. I am using blender 4.0.1 in 2024

    Very cool for trees or for making spiraling stuff in general, thank you!

    Really great tutorial! You did a great job making it followable. The organization sections helped a lot, gave some room to digest the information, and also make the node chart easier to read.

    Amazing! Best tutorial for geo nodes I've seen so far !

    Thank you for this - if you ever made a full course going into geo nodes in depth I would buy it!

  •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Its a really good tutorial and nice and fast. But I wish you would have explained a bit more what the nodes are doing exactly so I could understand a bit better what I'm doing. Nonetheless, thank you for your time and effort to put this online. I know how much work it is.

    Thanks for keeping things so organized, it was relay easy to follow, though I really need to tweak my settings a bit, my tree is a bit of a mess

    at 11:48 my float curve does not affect the geometry other than equally scaling it instead of scaling it with the curve, any ideas?

    I have no idea why, but as soon as I add my float curve at 3:51 it cuts the tree down to 1/8th of the curve. It looks more like a garlic bulb or pumpkin more than a tree and I can't get it to not do that.

    Which parameters do I have to use to animate the tree like in the wind?! thanks for answer

    • @Yeetboii
      @Yeetboii ปีที่แล้ว

      this is late but for anyone wondering add a scene time node going into the noise texture node which goes into the set position node at 14:35, use seconds and you can use a math node to divide it if its moving too fast, you can also use clamp nodes to limit the movement

    • @Yeetboii
      @Yeetboii ปีที่แล้ว

      a better way would be to use a wave texture because you can make it loop

    HELP !
    I'm stuck at 13:23 !
    I've followed everything to the point and everything worked. But I can't get the smaller branches revolve around the base branch. ACtually the whole left side is static and I can only rotate branches on the Right side, however Instead of rotating around the bezier curve they are also rotating the bezier curve itself + when I put the "Combine XYZ node" It's revolving around the wrong axis ... any ideas ?

  • @Pfffffffffffff

    I followed your workflow but in the end I had to download your project file, for some reason all my branches weren't connected to the trunk.... and when I downloaded the project file I was totally unable to export anything but the trunk, applying the geometry nodes modifiers makes the branches disappear...

    • @marcosventura3650

      same problem I followed the tutorial but when I try to apply the modifiers the branches disappear

    how to color each trunk?

    • @Chong3D
      @Chong3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, if you simply want to add some random color to the different trunk, you can refer to the tutorial below:
