Still can't believe that Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske are back to Helloween. It's a teenager dream coming true. For 10 years I thought that this would never happen, but look at them now. One hell of a good album, great tours and a bright future ahead!
While most of these Power Metal bands are past their prime, Helloween comes with this album, totally out-doing themselves. To have a vintage Power Metal band put out a powerful album like this in 2022........I'm just speechless. This is their best work to date. I'm totally blown away with this album.

@@MundoOval I'm really glad to hear that. So many Power Metal bands from the 90s / 00s have just diminished and disappeared. Helloween though - they tripled down and are better than ever, if that's possible.

except for the drums, Ingo Schwichtenberg is irrepleaceable. And Uli Kusch is far better than Dani Loble, by the way, and much closer to Ingo's level

I've followed them since the Keeper albums. I actually saw them back then. They were third on the bill supporting..........I want to say it was ACDC at Wembley - way back in the day. Had no clue who they were but I made it my business to find out after seeing them and I've been hooked ever since. Helloween is one of few metal bands who are truly heavy enough for my liking. There are people who think Metallica and Megadeth are heavy. Not quite. They are actually pop bands, not metal.
I'm a 51 years old metal head. Been around since the very early days. Proud to be a fan since they came along back in the 80's. Kai Hansen is a genious.

Age has no bearing when it comes to metal. Iron Maiden is on its third generation of fans. Some of the young fans they have today found out about Maiden from their grandparents, so there it is....
In 1986, at the age of 12, Helloween was the first heavy metal band I heard. Completely infected. Helloween Forever !!!

This is the best Helloween song I have listened to in many years. I love the new album big time, and Skyfall is easily my favorite song from it. I don't know how Kai Hansen is still writing amazing songs this late in his career. I love all his songs from the first three Helloween albums and mostly everything from his Gamma Ray albums. He has always been my favorite songwriter in Helloween, but the other songwriters have written some amazing songs as well. This current lineup has hit legendary status , and in my opinion are up there with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath. I am still so happy that Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske are back in Helloween. I always wanted them back in the band, and I love how they did it.

9:20 to the end is pure perfection
If anyone's curious, the story of this song: an alien crash-lands on Earth, is captured and tortured/experimented upon, but is rescued by some kind soul. They travel together back to the alien's home world and find that it has been completely destroyed and his race annihilated, so they venture off into space together to find new worlds.
It's fairly clear from the lyrics (and the first part from the music video), but just in case anyone had issues putting it and the ending all together.
