Omg I deliver items all around USA for a trucking company and me seeing this I can't wait to go home in a month . And try this out hopefully I don't ever have to be away from son and wife if it goes right!! I subscribed and put your video link on my notes to never forget this video once im home.
I can attest to everything she’s saying. I got started last month and have already sold almost a dozen mattresses. I’ve averaged about 220 per sale. Very easy, minimal risk side hustle if your willing to do a little work moving mattresses!
they take more than 50% of the price they tell you to sell it. You have to pick up a mattress that may be full of stains and you have to remove all stains. You have to clean and desinfect everything. You have to have a big storage unit because you will have lots of inventory. You will be doing up to 50 miles for a pickup. You have to post everything on facebook market, deal with customers. you will not sell some of your items. yes, you can make money but its not that great after all the work you do and after deducting expenses and time invested to make maybe under $200 a sale sometimes under $100 after all expenses... in some cases you may be loosing money because you picked up something you wont sell and you may have to disposal that item costing you more time and money to take it out of your storage. And remember you have to share earning with your helper... no one works for free!
I have no idea what the facts are because I haven’t don’t this but this is the second video I’ve seen this post from (copy and pasted) you about Sharetown. You just really hate this company or you really have it out for them. I’ve been an entrepreneur and nothing is ever easy but wow!! I respect your opinion and I want to ask: Did you try this personally and lose money? Is that why you’re trying so hard to warn us? I sincerely want to know.
@@TerryTassano I did tried and it was a total waste of my time, it may be good if you have a close partner to do the team and a huge empty space in your garage to hold at least 20 mattresses. You have to have a team to get approved and it is needed a lot of the mattresses are close to 200lb and you will have sometimes to get it from 3floor apartamentos, not an easy task. The mattresses take an average of 45 days to sell according to to Sharetown but most leads want to pay way less than the price they tell you to sell it. There is a lot of work you have to do like picking up and driving up to 100 miles for a pickup, then clean it, remove stains, disinfect it and wrap it again. Post it online and deal with a bunch of low ballers. I don’t hate the company, I hate the miss information and how they want it to make it look like a great side hustle. You can make money but be ready to do a lot of work and driving. Also you have to spend some cash for the plastic rolls $30 each you need one per king size or maybe you can re use it but it does not look good after moving it and removing the tape. The disinfectant costs about $80 and it will last like 10 uses. If you have questions let me know. Average sale I will say is about $200, I did some sales but it wasn’t work my time and expenses.
This sounds more like a headache because you have the cleaning you have to do all the work and it’s not guaranteed. You’re gonna flip it right away and then you don’t have the room for the house.

Thanks! Here’s another rep interview we did earlier this year: The Side Hustle App No One Knows About: Flipping Sharetown Furniture Returns th-cam.com/video/b4wuGwzph9I/w-d-xo.html
Staci , I am somewhat confused that you are representing yourself as a random reseller for Sharetown doing a side hustle. I just applied to Sharetown for a reseller position and "you" were the person who replied by email to me. What is your position with Sharetown ? Owner ? Founder ? Employee ? Listening from 1:30 to 1:50 for any one paying attention it seems that you are the owner. "
I'm a Sharetown rep myself. Sharetown does have employees that handle recruiting/onboarding, dispatching, and regional managers. These are typically separate from the reps that do the reselling, the reps are considered independent contractors.
I also am a reseller with Sharetown. Staci is not an owner. I am currently just an independent contractor but was formerly a part time employee as well, on the team with Staci. Three jobs was too much so now I just have two, lol. This is a legitimate opportunity. I'm coming up on my three year anniversary soon.
I'm on a waitlist for my area. They said that they will contact me when a position is available. Is there any hope for me actually getting in on this? Or do you typically just get eternally waitlisted?
I know several reps have onboarded since the video aired, so they are actively bringing new people on. It seems like the bigger the population, the greater the need.
My understanding is the manufacturer needs to offer a “100 night risk-free sleep trial” to be competitive, but can’t really resell those mattresses that get returned as new inventory. I think it’s something like 7% of orders that end up getting returned. I believe Sharetown let’s them recoup some of their cost from the proceeds of the resale, but I’m not 100% on that. (Some brands explicitly say they’ll donate the returns.)
I’d always heard that too! In most states, selling a used mattress is still legal, especially by an individual (as opposed to a retailer) and especially when it’s not being advertised as new. Nolah has a handy state-by-state guide so you can check the regulations and stipulations in your area: www.nolahmattress.com/blogs/blog/is-it-legal-to-sell-a-used-mattress
Typically these mattresses have only been used for a month or so before they get returned (MUCH less than hotel mattresses that you've undoubtedly slept on)
Just bought a used mattress from a sharetown reseller. It was literally used like 3 days and was almost brand new. $2200 mattress for $350. I couldn’t be happier

So what happened

Wow, nice work Robert! Thanks for sharing!
Do you also do it in Arizona too?
What city do you live in, if you mind sharing that? I know that your profitability depends on your market so that’s why I ask.
Hey Robert so this is legit? Do you see good profits? I’m looking into it now
Are the mattress already clean? Or do u need to clean them. Also I have some more questions if you have time to chat
This channel slaps, dude. I just found it but keep the content coming!
Thanks for checking it out!

Nothings easy. You’re not dead yet. Quit acting like it
If it were easy, everyone would be doing it, right?
You're right. I would highly suggest you don't do it.

Thought so too 😢
When we recorded, Staci was a part-time Sharetown employee in addition to being a reselling rep on the side.

@@NickLoper, Do you offer any positions fot the Michigan area?
So what happens you don't sell a item ? Do you owe sharetown the money still for that item ?
My understanding is you don’t owe them until it sells.
I'm on a waitlist for my area. They said that they will contact me when a position is available. Is there any hope for me actually getting in on this? Or do you typically just get eternally waitlisted?

How does shretown know if a rep sells it? Can't the rep just keep the profits all to themselves?
I mean, if you want to commit fraud …
How long do you hold an item until the company gives you item for free?
probably never
So you're not allowed to have a website for this? only only ads?
That was my understanding as well.
do you get paid anything for picking up the furniture?
My understanding is in most cases, no. I’m the case where the mattress is unsellable, then yes.
Is this available for Indian students?!
I believe they are operating in the US only at this point.
She said "she" has reps doing it full time. Is she part owner of sharetown?
Not owner, but I believe part-time employee
@@NickLoper nice. Love the content! Thanks
Why does the mattress maker want to do this?

It is illegal to sell used mattresses in some states
I’d always heard that too! In most states, selling a used mattress is still legal, especially by an individual (as opposed to a retailer) and especially when it’s not being advertised as new.
Nolah has a handy state-by-state guide so you can check the regulations and stipulations in your area: www.nolahmattress.com/blogs/blog/is-it-legal-to-sell-a-used-mattress
it's not illegal if you have a license in your state to sanitize and repackage them.
In all states without being sanitized and processed. They can sell person to person, but not business to person
How do I invest in this company haha
Disgusting - Used mattress?
There’s definitely a market for these returns. 🤷♂️
Guess you have never stayed in a hotel 😉

Tell me you've never traveled outside your home town without saying it. 😂😂
