I ve finally got him today by doing a star rank on wii 150cc cups I also unlock Rosalina but with doing star rank in mirror mode. Which goddamn took forever

Fun fact: I believe you only need to complete the top half of 150cc with star rank to unlock Dry Bowser. Every source I have except for a few states this.
You do not have to remove the stars from the lower cups, they are only the upper ones, from the lower ones they give you another type of car. On the other hand, with a stele (in mirror) all the cups with stars are necessary, I say this from experience.

i tried this and i didnt get 1st in bowsers castle but i got 1st in rainbow road and that is the first time i got 1st in rainbow road and when i didnt get dry bowser i cried and i actually give up now

Long story short, if you got Rosalina from a Galaxy save, Dry Bowser is the hardest character to unlock. So good luck.

So you had funky kong unlocked but didnt use him

The vehicle is WAY more important than the character, and they used the mach bike, the second best vehicle in the game. That is how they won.
Well yeah but you're faster with funky kong and the bowser bike why not just use that

when you’re playing with computers it’s not really necessary to use the best combo
You don't need funky kong to win, you can use other characters I even saw a birdo on a mach bike get 1st or 2nd place every race
