To be fair, many of these are dynamic passing play, meaning they can be forward or backward, and involves moving of the players. This is seldom seen in Ole era but in ETH 1st season it is seen, and now ETH 2nd season it is better.
Now by involving Onana in the distribution phase, MU back line build up has gotten more options, it can be short, mid, long range passes. When combined with adequate team training. MU can tear down defenses.
Bro even last season we never had any issues creating chances,there are some matches we had over 25 chances created,the issue is many of our players don't have any clue about putting the ball in the back of the net,and our forwards aren't comfortable using or even developing their weaker foots..that Is the one most biggest issue we have,and eth needs to do something about it very soon

This is the most basic of all football. 1. Start from the back
2. Play a forward pass to the player i.e. midfielders facing own goal
3. Turn or play it back to the player who is facing towards the opponent goal
4. Make that killer pass or distribute in the meantime drawing the opponents out of their zone with one touch pass movement.
Love this pattern of play.
Boys need to be confident and improve their one touch pass ex. Dalot and Maguire blunders.
This is nowhere basic, basic is a long ball to the targetman up front, targetman head down to 2nd striker who is open and scores.
What you described need positional awareness which is anything but basic.

The results during pre - season certainly werent great, but the build up play, passing it out from the back and the movement in the final third were definitely on display. Its also great that each player is quite dynamic and can play multiple positions and interchange with his teamates

It baffles me that VDB isn't rated by the management. Every time he plays he impresses me with his smart passes, positional awareness and he is mostly always involved in a goal when he's given the opportunity. Idk what he's doing or not doing behind closed doors but when I watch him 9/10 times he passes the eye test

I don't need to base my opinions based on what others think just to validate my own opinion. I trust my eyes to differentiate talent vs no talent. DVB imo is a good player which is why I am genuinely surprised the managers don't rate him. In Maguire's case you can say he's just a bad player, same with Fred, Mctominay ect. The closer Fred gets to goal the more he flourishes, and his issue is when he is made to drop deep and receive the ball. Way too inconsistent for that. DVB has been poor for United which is why he has played limited games.

Ten Hag played highly defensive counter attacking football last season and he's trying to implement attacking football this season evident from the stats ( highest turnovers, pressing etc) give him time.
Eriksen is better than Mount, or at least more important for Uniteds game. People forgot that he was a top 3 player until the evil tackle injured him.

The only thing we need is a finisher. Last season, we have Rashford, Sancho and Martial but Rashford is more promising. And maybe this season we will have Sancho, Rashford, Hojlund or maybe Greenwood and Martial . Sancho need to polish more his finishing because he has that ability as forward.
Silly mistakes and not taking our chances is what we need to improve. We create a lot, and we barley score them, even without a clinical striker other need to improve their goal contribution.

I've been a fan of United since 97 and this era is the saddest period of United I've ever seen. Not because of the lack of trophies, it's how delusional and divided the team as well as the fanbase are. The fact that fans celebrate this video says it all, this stuff is basic football, and above all, not efficient at all.
