【台式早餐飯糰】How to make Fan Tuan - Taiwanese Breakfast Rice Roll

- Continuing my craze of making Chinese breakfast foods during quarantine, I decided to make a video on my favorite dish of all time 飯糰 fan tuan! It’s also called 粢饭 ci fan in other areas. This version is a modified Taiwanese-style fan tuan (rice roll) recipe. I’ve always wanted to make one of these and luckily I had all the materials to make it! No need to travel to Taiwan to eat it. Now you can make this at home! In this video I’ll teach you how to make Fan Tuan!
Ingredients
3 cups of longrain sweet rice
2 cups of water
1/4 cup of diced pickled radish
1/4 cup of pork sung

OMG THIS IS IT! THIS IS IT! I lived in Taiwan for like a month or so back in 2010 and I couldn't remember the name of this and I loved it! My host mom would give me this along with black tea while she drove me to school... 😍 omg how I miss Taiwan

There is a little fan tuan cart/vendor just a few blocks away from my grandma's apartment in Taipei. They would arrive early in the morning and sell out before noon. Their fan tuan is sooooo good and this video really makes me miss it. Gosh, I miss Taiwanese food in general.

Bowl cake ( rice cake in a bowl with pork belly, egg, etc. I think it was originated from Tainan) and meat cake, a slimy soft rice skin with pork inside, originated from chang-hua.
I really miss taiwan. All of the food. Someday, i will comeback.
