Alan FOV is in Camera options ingame, you noticed it earlier when doing Railfan mode but then later in the 156 i guess you had forgot where you noticed it earlier. its great that people can change their cab view now ingame.
I've noticed Audio issues with slight popping and crackling since the TS2020 update and it only effects Armstrong Powerhouse content to my knowledge. Tried the default sounds and they appear to be not affected.

ok so 1: No unfortunately it did not come out on DVD but if u buy it for steam it backups files to your cloud on ur steam account 2. Yes the game runs on Windows 10 3. Yes you get three selected routes, one of them is the Norfolk Southern N line
Hi Alan, the new graphics settings are not necessary, (except the FOV Slider in the cab), especially when you use Shader Progs like "Reshade", which I use. There are much more settings and fine tunings available.Anyway, love Train Simulator since years but there is one thing I didn´t understand: DTG doesn´t give us the chance to buy the Nuremberg-Regensburg Route as a seperate DLC. I got a 10FPS setting with ambient occlusion too. Seems the same regardless of the level. Sadly my system is a bit outdated so it's going from playable to unplayable. Nice that it can be adjusted in game though. Makes optimising settings so much quicker and easier.

Obviously they are using the old kuju game engine still but now with advanced ray tracing technologies getting better and top cards like RTX Nvidia and AMD supporting it , I think dovetail might be left behind at the platform in future . Ps that's a classic tune : ATP 9 Pm , must be like 1999 came out? Got it on vinyl lol
Ambient occlusion is only an additional material map with baked shadows. It shouldn't be seen as something super cool, because even old games do have it and it is a very cheap substitute for realtime shadows. So a big lol here.
update is basic things that should be in it from start...its something cod bBF etc has as standard....crazt TS series are well behind ...also still got old track sounds,not welded tracks in ...mind you sound of old clickety clack is what train travel is about lol
Yes I have audio issues. I had it back in TS2019 when the game was running and the audio cut off, whenever me pc screen was of. I turned it back on escaped from pause menu and the audio cut off.
Weird. I got no frame drop at all playing with the AO in game settings. Ive got a mediocre at best rig, so not a 'brag' ;) Also, did you have rwenhancer shaders applied when testing this?

Matt P basically seemed to say that TSW only exists because of consoles (he said it was the reason for TSW, then corrected himself and said it was one of the reasons). I'm happy to see that they're improving TS1 anyway. The question came up because someone asked if TS2020 would be coming to consoles.
@@lukegibson6171 Also, at least on PCs, DTG must make more money from TS1 than TSW due to the amount of DLC available. So, now that it is 64 bit and so future-proofed in that way, I hope they'll continue improving it for a while longer.
@@oo0Spyder0oo But you make it sound like it's a cut&paste. Each route takes a long time to make for TSW. And although TSW has it's plus points, there's still a bunch of issues to iron out.
@@weswheel4834 Jesus, you have to start somewhere. If they continue to divide their efforts between two sims then tsw won't move as quickly as it should. Cut and paste? Train sim has taken xx versions to get this far and it has been hindered by being stuck in dx9 for years. Tsw is so much better but it needs people to move to it and ask for more. Personally I'm all for the advanced engine and how much it could bring.
That’s because there isn’t one mate you could get a pc that would run it for around 400 off the shelf but it wouldn’t be a nice experience so. You are looking closer to 1000-1200 depending on what you have already. You could also build it yourself and save a few hundred. The sim itself will cost you anywhere between £25-5000 depending on what you want to drive. There really is no real answer without knowing what you have and what you want sorry mate
Someone help me choose the best settings please? Most maps I play I average a 20-25fps.. Intel Core i3-7100 CPU @ 3.90GHz Nvidia 1050ti Any help would be appreciated.
set the preset to high, it's what i use and i get 30-50. I'd also recommend a better processor though granted this games optimisation still needs work.
DTG acts like assholes in both protecting their products and blocking pirated versions of their games and taking the l and showing the middle finger to consumers. They are starting to turn into EA at this point because of their overpriced DLC and poor performing train simulator! Not bothering to patch the OUT OF MEMORY Bug at ALL which is extremely annoying! Third Party companies like AP and Just Trains can design better trains than DTG which is a huge embarrassment and kick in the balls they literally say "RIP DTG" Lmfao dtg are useless
You could have 12TB of RAM and a 5GB Graphics card and STILL experience the OUT OF MEMORY crash on startup, ts2020 is horsecrap when it comes to performing properly and DTG are silent about it and do NOTHING to sort it out, the game overall is rubbish and a waste of money LITERALLY the SAME as ts2019
3/10 absolutely average and a copy and paste of even ts2015! There is hardly any change and it is just the saame damn thing! The performance is extremely amateur and deserves to be for free! Dlc are overpriced and the OOM Crash is a bug that NEEDS to be fixed DTG act lazy and make the game much worse in performance I am NOT impressed!
@@MikoOhneHose true, but there are companies who try their hardest to make their games look and feel the best. train simulator has been the same since its first release which was around 2008 i think.
It’s meant to be raw and as I found it If I had edited out all the faults it wouldn’t really have shown off the release state of the game hope this helps

I quite like the look of NTP on TSW (the mood, lighting etc.) The look isn't for everyone but I like that you can play with the mood in TS1 now.

This is train sim 2020, not train sim world 2020. Same developer but train sim world is the sequel. Alan only plays train sim on PC
