The one major enhancement that would bring TS2019 to life would be station and train announcements. The graphics can be as good as you like, but without the real ambient sounds, you're missing a huge chunk of the immersion. I understand the problems around copyright etc, but for such a big franchise they must be able to come up with a compromise? At the moment stations sound completely dead, it's totally unrealistic and they need to sort this out. How much would it cost to record a 2m snippet of ambient noise from each station? And onboard announcements - is Julie Berry really so tight that she wouldn't allow you to use recordings from various routes for a reasonable fee?

Thanks for the video Alan, I have purchased the RW Enhancement based on your review and it has been £10 well spent, overall graphics much improved, shame we have to rely on third parties to sort out DTGs failings!
Hi good vid! I have a question. In ts19 I have a sound bug that I hear. Certain noises in my headphones. Like my horn goes through my right and my left has throttle changes
Alan Thomson sorry don’t have TH-cam notifications coming through. Er no I have headphones and if the noise is right it comes through right whereas before ts19 it came through both and it was a lot easier on my ear
I'm iffy about RW Enhancer for multiple reasons. I'm wary about some of the stuff in there FAQ about issues with virus protection and to have people messing about with their anti virus. No developer should tell you to mess with your anti virus to accept there program that just sounds sketchy to me, and the fact that it tampers with the TS files and may cause damage to your TS installation. Also it practically looks like reshade just re coded that your paying for.
Lots of software requires you to disable or allow it through you’re anti virus it’s not a new thing at all there are hundreds of different antivirus software you can’t possibly account for all of them. The reshade comparison is valid but this doesn’t affect FPS nearly as much and offers you more control. On thw damage to you’re TS install front any third party add on will tell you this. Disclaimers are just that it’s a bit like medication you have to tell people all the side affects even if the chances are minimal I hope this helps mate
Train simulators look boring as hell although like you said, the graphics an animation are stunning. Unless there are train wrecks, etc. there is a slim chance that I will buy a train simulator. But if I come across a train simulator that suits me than I will buy. I also found flight simulators quite boring.
I suggest not getting into simulation if action is more your style then stick to that genre of gaming spending thousands on a sim you don’t like won’t be much fun either mate hope this helps
@@AlanThomsonsim I checked out some other videos and I will be able to do an awesome job wrecking trains. So it looks like it will give me a lot of action. I have Farming Simulator 2013 installed on my Windows 2007 computer. And it would be pretty boring too just doing normal farm work which I did a lot of, but I've learned how to do some really crazy stuff with it too including semi trucks stand up on end. So I probably will buy the TS 2019 simulator. But like Farming Simulator I will have to do things right for a while until I get use to every thing in this train simulator and then watch me have fun.

And make it interesting, as well as informative. This goes for Alan, as well as most persons providing "information!," on UTube! I don't want to watch people as if they're in a bar, discussing. I'd rather be IN a Bar!! Thank you

I've seen a lot of side by side shots with and without this on and i just don't personally see a difference between standard TS and this
Hmm ok to me there is a difference quite clear difference some good some not so good but I still wouldn’t use TS without it

I used it for a few months then i reinstalled TS without it. It was horrible! Couldn't be without it now

For me it really is hahaha I have always been very strict about it being clear lol
The only asset that doesn't look particularly good with RWE installed so far is the HST from the European assets pack.
Its ok theres a few more hsts like the ECMLS Riviera line AP i think theres a few more but these are the ones that i can remember
