It's amazing to see how the guy doing Tsukasa actually learns how to Emote, since in the beginning clips he can't emote worth a damn. Hell, Di-Ends VA did a pretty good job.
I'm so glad they kept "TRANSFORM!!" as the transformation callout after all these years. I grew up watching Blade and Kabuto dubbed, and that was how I always do it.
The guy for Tsukasa low-key sounds like the guy who voiced Kagami in Kabuto's dub. Loved his voice. Plus props for not keeping Henshin untranslated. Even more props for Western naming order.
It absolutely is him, and it makes this dub so much funnier to know that these dubs definitely only have two actors to do their voices. (e.g. Tendou's voice almost reaching Kagami's at certain points)
Looking at the final scene in all this, it's apparent that HK used the Special Edition broadcast with the stock footage. The original airing had Yusuke and the other 8 riders fighting Decade while a bunch of laser blasts went everywhere, then ended with Diend shooting Decade in the face.
That was the original psyga from the movie who was asian american. The one in decade wasnt so he just said generic english phrases. Luckily it was understandable
"WAIT, NO, WAIT A MINUTE!, WHERE IS IKA ORIGAMI, WHERE IS HE!?" *canned laughter ensues* "BAD COMEDY! BAD COMEDY!!" "what the hell is an Ika Origami...oh, you mean the Octozord? yeah, I could do that"
I kinda hope we can watch all these dub versions officially somewhere one day as a whole,because just the cheesyness is great and I wanna experience these next to the main sub versions to compare them and see the good of both versions. (I'm not really a sub V dub person,I love both choices and do both depending on my sleep schedule.)
It’s also weird how My country‘s kids channel broadcasts both English dubbed decade and power rangers samurai. So you can imagine the confusion if kids saw both the KR collab episode and the PR samurai series during their childhood 🤣
oh shoot, you gave me flashbacks to my first kamen rider show, The Masked Rider. But without the weird furby and confusing story they made, so all the good bits intact! :D
Bit late, but Shocker _was_ (and still is) made up of ex-Nazi Party members (such as Colonel Bakarashin Iinodevitch Zol (still can't believe that's his full name, but it honestly sounds badass)), so it's not too outlandish.
Ouja low-key sounds like Shadow the Hedgehog in this dub. Which is fitting, since Shadow's original Japanese voice actor also portrayed the Zecter transformation devices from Kabuto.
It makes sense because Samurai Sentai Shinkenger is a proper name and Masked Rider was the series name as written in English until W. Also, henshin isn't a proper term and it would be weird if used in English.

Something that always bothers me with these dubs so far is a sense of spacial distortion, Or rather a disembodied feeling when it comes to the voices. It's not just the mouths not being synced(Which is more or less a part of the dubbing MO), But rather voices do not appear to be adjusted to account for distance or angle, they also seem a tad louder than they should be. The inflections and timing are very hit and miss when it comes to matching body language as well. For me "Transform" as the call out just seems off(Not sure why maybe it's because of how they say it or it's length or something), I mean it is not incorrect but "Henshin" has a bit of a different connotation, One possible word I thought of was "Augment" for being having the same number of letters and is also a two syllable word(While being somewhat vague enough to work with multiple kinds of powers). But I honestly have no clue how that would pan out in practice.
SWEET MERCIFUL FLUFF!!! Who the hell thought THAT would be a good voice for Genta? Was the Moron behind those cheap Old DBZ dubs (the SAYA PEEPUL ones) in charge of this? And then Narutaki... sounds like he had a serious throat problem.

That English voice for Momotaros was pretty spot on for how I imagined he'd sound, though I imagined a slightly younger, cocky voice.
I would use senketsu’s English voice for him considering his Japanese voice is momo’s as well
