I never thought that I'd see the day a kamen rider would get it's own anime adaptation esp one of my favs from my childhood. They got the exact audio from the live action series and the henshin animation is sick!

Fun fact: I was at anime expo for the Kamen Rider Panel. When the henshin scene started, all of the anime, Toku fans (especially the W cosplayers who imitate the henshin sequence) fanboy the entire scene and we scream from the hype! It was a great experience at AX

I'm truly happy that Kamen Rider are finally getting recognized in States since last year 50th anniversary to show that Super Sentai aka Power Ranger is not only popular Japanese superheroes in Japan.
There are a few people I know who will talk until blue in the face for Kamen rider.
Super Sentai isn't Power Rangers. They are too different to be considered the same show.

I started this having absolutely no idea it was Kamen Rider, but as soon as the henshin started I was already in too deep. This show is great!
Props to the creators of Fuuto PI. This feels like season 2 of Kamen Rider W. I'm really loving this anime.

The thing is, this whole under appreciation is partially due to how badly Saban botched it up when he attempted to adapt Kamen Rider Black RX in the 90’s.
@evilmonkey1075 so true, and you know what messed up when we did adaptation of kamen rider ryuki we didn't finish it and the original writers for ryuki said that the plot was better then there's was and that was the last time we saw kamen rider in America I would love a American version of any kamen rider as long as they keep the tone
If this gets a second season I hope kamen rider ooo or eternal get a reference in it.

One thing I love about this... The scene feels dramatic and high risk at first then Philip is like 'Nah, this is the henshin scene' when he casually bops the Road Dopant aside
I hope we can get more Super Sentai and Kamen Rider anime after this one. I would love to see anime for the first and original Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider Black and Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Cool Detail: The anime carries off this neat detail from the original show where during the two make their catchphrase, if you use earphones, you can Philip on the Left, and Shotaro on the Right!

Super cool henshin aside, there's one thing about this scene that keeps tickling my brain. I thought that Shotaro usually keeps a Lostdriver on his person for times when Philip isn't available.
That bothered me a lot too. Because there are times when he could've handled it himself without becoming W.
My assumption would be that Shotaro stopped carrying both at once on him after Philip had returned at the end of the series. It's possible that the author of Fuuto PI had overlooked its use in crossovers that came after the main show (Movie War Megamax is the only time I recall it being used after W ended).
Shotaro rushed too emotionally against Phillip before this so I doubt he preparad himself properly. It has always been Shotaro's fallacy to be overly emotional.
This makes me want to see a shinkenger anime adaptation

Well it helped that the staff that wrote and produced the series is the same as in the original series
@@DarkAnon100 And the studio in charge of animated it are long time fans of Kamen Rider. They also make a henshin hero series with females before this called "Symphon Gears". Literally the poured the same quality of animation they give to that anime.

This looks way cooler than the actual transformation of the original series, I hope they do more Kamen rider animes with this quality

W was one of my first Riders and is still one of my favorites. Hoping when they release this series on physical media that we get it here in the States like we did the complete series of Zero One and Kuuga
Actually you can if you preorder the Luna-trigger and heat-metal figuarts the former comes with first six episodes and the latter comes with the last episodes.

Hearing the original Henshin sounds are just sooo nostalgic
Seeing the colored subtitles reminds me of those fansubs for tokusatsu series that always put awesome effects on the subtitles. Logos and colors included.
