This is what Marvel Animated Shows should be like. Moon Girl is gonna bring back the independence that Marvel Cartoons used to had with their shows since Spectacular Spider-Man.
Honestly THIS is the kind of stuff I was hoping for when Disney first grabbed Marvel. It's so colorful and such a fun take on a character and concept such as Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
Please people! DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS SERIES! I am Loving the vibe of this show. Cannot wait to see where the story takes us. It does not have to be serialized. As long as the animation is fun and creative with good episodic storytelling and compelling characters, I am gonna have a good time with this show. And they better release a sound track when the season done. So far every boss battle is framed like a music video and I am here for it 🤩
@@SCR33NH3AD Actually, What If? was by Marvel Studios, not Marvel Animation. And MODOK and Hit-Monkey by Marvel TV. But Disney Television Animation worked on this one and, for all of the Disney executives' MANY faults and mistakes, they do know how to hire a good creative crew.
I was sceptical but within 5 mins I was hooked on Moon Girl. Funny, creative and made for me... a 55 year old English bloke. Oh... and the theme will be in my iphone asap. COOOL! EDIT:- This is now my no.3 of EVERY MARVEL TV show. Just behind I am Groot and What If.... FANTASTIC!
I know this animation is outside my demographic, but to heck with it, I'm all about MOON GIRL and DEVIL DINOSAUR. The animation is beautiful, the stories are fun, and the music is terrific. They are all head nodders. Raphael Saddiq still has it behind the boards. I highly recommend this!! Thank you Disney/MARVEL for doubling down on diversity in your movies and television shows. High marks. P.S. I'm today, years old, on Diamond White, she is soooo talented. I had no idea she was on X-Factor and she has done a lot of cover songs. She is perfect as the voice of MOON GIRL. There's already a second confirned. Througth the regular for Disney shows is 3 seasons. But, if the show is succesful enough, this could become an exception. Like Kim Possible or Phineas and Ferb.

And this show is definitely going to be a huge deal for cartoon representation so it does not deserve to be cut short! Also because of Disney Plus, having viewers from both cable AND streaming could & should influence how long the show lasts!

It already has, since I'm pretty sure Spidey didn't have a theme song up until that point. This is Moon Girl's first too so it's the most associated theme song of the character by default. This and S-M's 60s theme hit it out of the park instantly and deserve to be remembered for building up the hero so quickly and with such catchy beats.

This honestly may be one of the best cartoons for modern kids. The animation and character design is unique and so much fun, the music is *incredible*, and having a superhero with a dinosaur? A bit odd, but it's a kid show! If they can pull off the narrative then this show is going to be golden.
This series is so well made. The characters have personality, the songs are all bops and each fight is unique! I love this show so much! I can’t wait for season 2 which got a green light!

Example: Spectacular Spiderman, arguably the best Spiderman animated series ever made was left on a cliffhanger with just 2 seasons, meanwhile the vastly inferior Ultimate Spiderman got 4 full seasons.
Moon girl and devil dinosaur has always been a favorite comic of mine, being one of the only ones I actually tried to find and read rather than watching plot summaries on youtube. I cannot wait for this series!
All other kid-focused Marvel cartoons are unwatchable for anyone older than 9. This show? It's a feast for the senses. It's hilarious, exciting, and quite moving at times. And the music is fantastic. I love what this show (and the comic) does for little girls who look like Lunella. The life lessons are beautiful.
I haven’t seen the Beyonder episode yet but this show is off to a GREAT start. It’s episodes usually start off with simple ideas or familiar plots but it adds little spins on each through the characters and style that help it stand out in all the best ways. The animation might be a fit fast and jumpy for some but I am loving the unique flare it brings. The Spider Verse comparison is easy to make (I myself have called this a spiritual successor to Spider Verse) but it isn’t the same. Like Ms Marvel, it handles the comic book visuals in a way where when you look at it, you say “Oh this is Moon Girl”. The voice acting is great, the comedy is solid, and the music is FANTASTIC, theme song included. I can easily see this becoming Gravity Falls/Amphibia/Owl House levels of great. Excited to see what’s next for Lunella and Double D. Edit: I have now seen the Beyonder episode and it was GREAT.
Honestly this is what I was hoping for in a superhero show when big hero 6 the series was announced and Moon Girl seems to be succeeding where the former failed. There's a concrete tone, art direction, fluid animation, cool looking villains and some very promising action sequences! I'm so glad that this is so stylized and dynamic. Dang. I'm getting Spider-Verse and rottmnt vibes. Can't wait!
Now this is some quality for once! Marvel Animations' been slacking ever since they didn't pick up Secret Warriors for a full series. I can appreciate this, it's not for me, but they put some work into the theme song I cannot ignore, shout-out to the team working on this show, hope more things like these start coming out.

The Ducktales 2017 team pioneered the comic look for their show with the angular straights against curves designs, then they hired Flying Bark who did Rise of the TMNT to do their awesome fight scenes but gave them a better budget so they'd be smoother with more inbetweens. This is the amazing result of a decade of work

This is so neat to see after having gotten the graphic novel for this a few years back at a book fair. It was a nice read then and rather fun. Can’t wait to see what they fully make of this concept in the context of a show.

You do know Moon girl and Devil Dinosaur are actually in the comics. Just straight up. Hell, that's not even the weirdest thing in the comics.
I love how they have her say "Moon Girl magic!" in a way that's clearly supposed to sound like "black girl magic."
