Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Only recently started painting and was looking at all 3 of these options, thanks for helping me to decide what I was needing.
I very much enjoyed this episode as it was very helpful to me as a beginner. Hard to get this content, and even harder for historical miniatures. I gravitate towards Vallejo model color paints but had assessed that Citadel washes were the gold standard. Something about Army Painter just doesn’t feel quite right when you have Vallejo and Citadel as alternatives. But what do I know at this stage. Now that you have used all three main line washes, which of the three manufacturers do you like the most. The Nuln oil vs AP dark vs Vallejo game black opinion you may have would be welcomed. Assuming the use of medium with all three.
I think I need to use the Vallejo washes on a battalion or two before I can really judge which is my favourite. A video with a comparison between Vallejo, GW, and Army Painter is probably a good idea. I'll try and sort something out.
Thanks so much for making this video, I found it really helpful as I tend to buy Vallejo and AK paints and washes. I've been using the Vallejo Express but didn't have the Game Colour Umber wash, so have added that to the shopping list. Have you tried the AK Interactive Deep Shades colours? I haven't tried them yet but they look like a useful product.

Very glad to hear this was a useful video to watch!
Have ordered the ones you recommend and looking forward to trying them out
Happy painting!
Great rundown on other options for washes
Thanks. I hope it is useful for everyone!
So nice and interesting tutorial! Thank you for sharing. See you
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.
An excellent video I tend to just use gw washes
Cheers. Don't know how it has taken me so long to try them out to be honest, considering I have been usung Vallejo paints for years!

That would be simply fantastic content.

Glad it is useful! I've sworn off AK products after their conduct around the release of the Condemnation book.
Maybe a drop of Flo-Aid with the Express Medium/Wash will help even more....
You could be on to something there!
@@CullodenPaintingStudio You may also dry a drop of "dish soap" instead of Flo-Aid.
@@southpaw5483 now that's an old school trick! I was doing that 20+ years ago with GW inks. Worked a treat with them if I recall.
