Last October, I went to visit his grave (along with Eva Gabor's and Merv Griffin's graves) when I was out in Los Angeles. I'm a big Green Acres fan, and I wanted to pay my respects to these three wonderful people who were a part of my life. I made this vow back in 1996, and by George, I kept that vow.
The picture at :24 is from the stage version of The Music Man, I think, but I don't know if it's from Broadway or not. I'd love to hear the soundtrack from it. 1:05 is from Roman Holiday with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn. 1:08 is from Studio One (1953), George Orwell's 1984. It's on youtube. I cried when I watched it. My dad wouldn't have wanted to watch it because he was too used to seeing him play Oliver Douglas.
Me, too! It's quite the best thing about the very flawed 1966 "Eddie Albert Album" and is unfortunately overshadowed by his notorious rendition of "Blowin' in the Wind." Maybe I'll upload it.
I love this so much. Thanks for sharing.

Me too, and while I'm at that cemetery I'll see Marilyn and Farrah also.
This man was a WW2 war hero and entertained us in the following years. Thank you, RIP.
Nice tribute to a great dramatic and comedic actor. Great voice, too. I love his version of Bob Dylan's "Don't Speak Twice, It's All Right."
