Thinking of getting my first truck EVER. Nissan Frontier Pro4X and converting it to an off road & potentially for Overlanding. I am close to retirement and want to see North America & Canada, camping and golfing as much as possible. This is such a sweet setup for the frontier. I want one.
Best pick on the market, for sure. It's the only NA V6 available. You can do a quality lift, tires, & armor for 6-8k. Add a canopy camper for another 10k and you can live out of it.
Nissan makes amazing trucks. But they're garbage at marketing. They've had multiple trucks hit the million mile mark, and are just as reliable as Toyota. Glad to see folks running Nissan
Nice setup on the frontier. People really forget about z1 offroad they are nissan after market parts too. Their frontier build are beautiful as well and waiting on their supercharger 😅 z1 offroad check them out they are legit.
As a pro-4x owner myself, I’m curious what the total weight is/how much over payload the rig is? I’m in a similar boat with the limited payload so I’m curious to know how it’ll handle overloaded. Great video and awesome setup!
I'm the owner of the truck. My original setup used a decked drawer system. Love them or hate them, they are heavy! Ditching that 200+lb system put me right at payload capacity. The truck handled very well with the drawers. I did notice a big improvement after removing them. Since this video was recorded I have made the switch to a Pack Out Camper canopy camper. The difference is night & day! Besides the ease in camping comfort, set-up & break down, it handles exceptionally better on the trails and pulls much harder up inclines. Even the difference on the street is amazing.
@@timtucker2134 ah well I was somewhat hoping you were over capacity, as my setup is a few hundred over and we will be full timing for about 1-2years while we travel. I’ve got the parabolics (ADO) w/airbags and upgraded springs in the front (ADO). Guess we’ll see how it goes, we get our Moonlander X camper installed sometime later this month
Awesome truck!! Im doing this to my 23 Nissan Titan XD Pro-4x. I also have a Bruder XP6 camper trailer too. You can only live in a truck for so long. A camper is better cause you get more.
TFL also has Alldogs on the trail and discussing the 3rd Gen and 3rd Gen Titan swap. Victory 4x4 has a rear bumper with swing out options. I have their bumper right now and work well, with the plan to add the swong outs next year.
best part of the Nissan frontier You can get parts galore. there is not a lot of new part builders like toyota. But even the factory parts are really good the parts are compatible with titan they are just strait bolt on.. maybe a Nissan thing but mine is set up very similar :) i am titan swapped how ever.
@Teekay617 i have the all dogs fox titan swap and the rear springs came with the bigger bolts. When my brakes get worn enough i plan to upgrade to titan brakes and front rear diffs.
@@timtucker2134 no its not, look at the data online, more yotas here in usa and all over the world. Nissan has been closing down dealerships and has a lot of failed vehicles, the brand isnt even Japanese anymore I think its french now, makes garbage vehicles like the Nissan cvt trans that are awful.
@@RegisteredNurseLA the Nissan/Renault partnership is done for and the CVT trans issue has been done for almost a decade now but people still clutching it like precious pearls... how are those new forced inductions engines going with Toyota reliability though? 🤔

Congratulations on retirement! Sounds like you have a good plan. Good luck.
I bought a 22 with 60k and its a good truck so far. Had it for a month

So true!
Such a nice build! Love to see the Frontier community getting some love.
Thanks, it's an awesome truck to build out!
@ ain’t gotta tell me. I build a whole channel around it!
Such an amazing rig! Very well kitted for adventure! And bring NISSAN back to the offroad and overland community ❤!!
😎👍
Cool truck, thanks for the Nissan content. Keep it coming!
Thanks! It would be a great help if you would share the content with any of your Nissan friends.

Agreed!👍
Looks like your leaf spring bolts are fatter than stock?
I believe they are
9/16”
yep you have to drill out the bolt plates :)

wow that studio is janky lol

Nissan is a tier lower than toyota in reliability
That's completely subjective.

@@RegisteredNurseLA not even bringing up the fact TFL Truck blew a transfer case on the new Tacoma on a bunny hill 😆 wait I just did
Over the years we have seen both fail out on the trail.
