Nice review, I really appreciate that you don't shy away from reviewing bootleg since I can only afford bootlegs or cheaper kits from Bandai. Also this GM Spartan bootleg sell like hot cakes where Im from, people even buy in bulk to army build or customise.
My mom got me this kit from one of those pallet wholesale places and I honestly love it so much. And to my surprise It even came with water slide decals! definitely sitting on my gunpula shelf
Agree that a lot of GMs are cannon fodder and inferior mobile suit until UC 0096 when Jesta came along. It was extremely powerful tactical mobile suit and they even take down bulkier Gustav Karl and even Zeta Plus which is gray color Zeta Gundam. only 1 Jesta unit is destroyed while the rest of GM grunt suits and it's variants (from GM to Jegan) were destroyed thousand times.
Ah yes, because the Jesta is definitely not a mobile suit reserved for EFF special forces, whilst GM all the way to the GM III, were almost never piloted by said special forces.
Got this kit myself recently, liked it so much i got two more for a squad. Also, fun fact: the gm spartan was developed from the gm command and into the gm sniper 2(along with data from the gm dominance). The sniper two would be developed into the gm custom, which would be developed into the gm quel, then into the hazel, then into the mk 2 and then to the zeta gundam. Ms development chains are like a spiderweb sometimes
@@TussalDragon344 at the very least, it's redesign is, the original design from the old msv might have actually inspired MC. Wouldn't be unprecedented as the halo devs did use gundam as inspiration, with the hunters being based on aquatic zeon ms, notably the hygogg.
I hope we get more bootleg kits of P-Bandai exclusive gunplas such as the HG GTO GM Sniper Custom with missle launcher l all weapons included too, the GM Night Seeker 1&2, the GM Cannon with rocket bazooka and I guess the weapons from GM Guard Custom too. HG Light Liner. Even the GM G-Line Standard Armor too. I just want to see ever P-Bandai exclusive kit get bootleg.
I think that's the wrong way of thinking. It's better to hope that Bandai would make P-Bandai more accessible to others. Hoping for more bootlegs is like asking for Bandai to stop the Gunpla business all together.
Why everyone is misunderstood the bootleg meaning??? Bootleg usually is mean "Daban model" brand, NOT all china-made models! And this gm spartan brand is XingFengShe or for short XFS
In the early days, the word "bootleg" was used to describe illegal, unauthorized or unlicensed manufactured/distributed liquor. In modern times, anything that is illegally manufactured or distributed is considered a bootleg.

Fun theory: GM Spartan may be a nod to Halo’s Master Chief

Did you put a coat on the kit before applying the panel liner? Jus asking
No. But I would if I could.

Fitting is OK. Plastic is bootleg quality.
