    Our Rating System:
    We rate albums out of 10. Any album that scores 8 or higher gets a Toe Tag. If an album gets Two Toe Tags then it gets added to the list in the link above. We do not review EP's but we may cover them in our New Release videos should they come up.
    In regards to our Reaction videos:
    As many of you know TH-cam can be an unpredictable and often unfair place when it comes to copyright rules and their enforcement. If our video ends up getting cut due to copyright reasons it will be labeled in the title as a Review rather than a Reaction. The music video portion of the video will be cut out and you will only see our before and after thoughts. Unfortunately this is the best we can do under those circumstances and we would appreciate a Like rating on our videos to help us overcome any negative algorithmic affects.

    This album is shaping up to be the blackening 2.0. the blackening is like a once in a generation metal album, if sylosis bring out a few more songs with unique differences between them they could achieve this. Amazing how far they've come, I seen these guys live for the first time hearing the supreme Oppressor in 2007. Such an evolution as a band since then

    I actually discovered Sylosis from watching your "Deadwood" reaction, I was like "holy 💩 this is awesome" and I immediately dove into Sylosis's discography. Amazing band, thanks for introducing me to these guys!

    that's funny cause I love Archspire 🤘🏽🙂 I don't get tired of their albums and it might be a length thing. They don't seem to go on forever so I get my fill of awesome and I'm happy. but of course I totally get what you guys are saying.

    Sylosis coming with so much aggression, like how they stated that they purposefully tryed to make the heaviest album yet, can't wait to hear the rest.. honestly though I love all there stuff one of maybe 2 or 3 bands I can say that about

    Josh Middleton is a genius, he/Sylosis don’t miss, this album will rip just like every other Sylosis record, man is one of the best riff writers alive. Band deserves so much more attention. Anyway nice reaction fellas, appreciate you guys always doing reactions for new Sylosis.

    Hyped for the album! And after Josh has left Architects I am HOPING that this album has some creative twists and turns that makes the band break new ground. I loved Monolith and Dormant Heart, the last one was a little bit of a step down because it didn't feel like it was evolving the band enough.
    These two songs so far are really promising, if the album does have enough variety and new elements - it's gonna be one of the albums of the year.

      Did you not love edge of the earth? That’s like their most acclaimed record and imo is pretty much flawless. Absolute perfect mix of melodeath and thrash, their longest album too and it’s pretty much all glorious riffs and solos. Monolith imo is close to as good but edge of the earth gets the edge from me because it’s got more tracks, both albums have no missed imo. Dormant heart is great too but I have EOTE/monolith ahead of it, also conclusion of an age is really fuckin good too. Cycle of suffering and dormant heart are probably their bottom 2 records imo which is just a testament to how good they are because both those records are still damn good

    I get what you guys are saying about being worried about the album but for me them being my favorite band this is all I want haha they usually do throw a softer song as the closer but these 2 songs are already better than anything from the last one so I'm hype. And yes I made a paragraph as one sentence haha

    Don't just stand there nodding heads,jump around, throw some shapes

  • @szymonsobczak2307
    @szymonsobczak2307 ปีที่แล้ว

    yea, exactly. It's not necesserily the "good" vs "meh" songs but rather "heavy headbangers" vs "more nuanced and melodic" ones. I feel a lot of metal bands fall into the "This gun be our heaviest ablum yet hurr durr" trap and they lose that spark of imagination that makes them stand out. Expecially with a band like Sylosis, where that spark is a fucking blaze and the songs combine the heaviness with exquisite transitions and melodic inserts. And those two elements come together both in terms of tracks on an album and elements of individual tracks as well. Anyone that heard "where the sky ends" knows what I'm talking about.
    Hope the boys stay true to that.

    Fact that you think trivium are up their makes this video irrelevant 😂 Sylosis are head and shoulders above that dross of a band
